This story makes it sound like WCU didn't want Davidson to come to Cullowhee to play. Unfortunately, with the addition of Samford, this causes schools in seperate divisions to only play certain schools once.

Why is this even a story? The ACC has a similar situation where they have a split conference and some schools only play each other once. The Asheville Citizen Times just wants yet another reason to bag on WCU!

It does come off as sounding like a bit of a dig at WCU; especially the attendance angle. But let's cut to the chase: if we can't fill the place for Clemson (3,000 or so) Kansas (4,000) or South Carolina (1,500 at best) then why would a Socon team not based in Watauga County create a stir? I think TNG is just twisting the knife of reality a little ala Jarrett.

TNG has been digging WCU a little more lately and I don't get it. Oh well, screw him. Let's just win and that silences all critics.

It sucks because WCU students don't know pro-level talent when it's in town. Even last year, the place wasn't even a quarter-filled. Heck the RAC wasn't even halfway filled when Kevin Martin was there, and look what's he's done now.

A few reasons why there's never any buzz at WCU: we play in a facility that is almost empty most of time (play the games in Reid Gym, more a basketball feeling). Not to mention the marketing dept. has done a crappy job at promoting the game.(i.e. no free stuff). Above all, unfortunately most of the WCU students go home on the weekends anyway, when most of the games are.

Until WCU realizes this and does something about it, it will never change

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Virgo

Someone is easily angered today, and you'll want to tiptoe around them at every opportunity. They might be on the defensive and imagine that you're getting at them all the time, or they could be quick to point the finger of blame straight at you. It won't be an easy day, but try not to get swept up in the emotional dramas that are swirling around you. They'll only exhaust you.
