<quoted text>I realize that OSU is not a FOOTBALL school, yet it is a University. OU is a third tier university with an elitist attitude. Nobody takes a degree from that piece-o-crap school seriously. I would prefer to have my degree and a sense of reality from a real University. An Okies three food groups, chicken liver, stink bait and Bud. America loves a loser.
Well, lOSUr didn't offer the degress I have from OU. So they must not be that good of a university. And if you check the engineering, law, and business rankings, you'll find that OU actually has some very good programs - along with a horrible journalism school, weak liberal arts, and some very iffy other programs. And OU's meteorology department had a movie made about it - how many lOSUr programs have been featured in movies?

Some of OU is very good. Some programs are really that bad. Elitist? Yeah, there's that awful greek system that thinks that they're better than you, regardless of who you are. And that is a big problem.

As a whole, OU is a school that caters to Okies. That says a lot. "OSUr", that says it all concerning your idiotic attitude toward another school. I got my bs in Geology from OSU and masters from University of Miami. My wife heads up IIS for a major engineering firm. Won't touch OU when it comes to hiring for defense. CU grads are sought more then School of Mines. Nationally Oklahoma schools are considered a joke. Then again, look at the quality of student entering the Universities. Oklahoma is right up there with the other illiterate states, Mississippi, and Alabama. A few Okies escape from that Godforsaken place. But as a whole, misery loves company and or ignorance is bliss. Hence the power of OU football. It's Oklahomas soma.

I think Mack Brown has found the magic elixer. REschedule the Red RIver Shootout for January instead of October. Oklahoma NEVER WINS in January, at least in recent history.

Hey there... at least Oklahoma gets to bowl games. I'd rather get to the games and lose than be 3-9 with the "best" recruits in the country because my program has absolutely collapsed. There's no shame in being only 5th or 10th best. There is shame in acting like you are important and becoming 90th best. How much did NBC lose this year on CFB coverage? I can't count that high without my computer...
Ye, and football is what makes your University!? Three main Okie food groups, chicken liver, stink bait, and Bud.
