Rich who? The West Virginia Mountaineers didn't need coach Rich Rodriguez. They had Pat White, and their elusive quarterback led them to a surprising 48-28 romp over No.

It was great to see the Mountaineers get such a decisive win after the loss to Pitt and the loss of their head coach. Great for the fans, great for the state.

Great win for the Moutaineers. Much respect. But I have to come down on the head coach. That onside kick midway through the 3rd Qtr. gave up what little momentum OU gained in the Qtr. Kick it off make WV go the length of the field. The defense was playing well at the start of the 2nd half. Can't understand how Stoops doesnt have these guys ready to play in a big bowl game. He's won a lot of games but the bowl record leaves a lot to be desired.

As an OU graduate I found this game to be a disaster. I agree with Sooner Mike about why Coach Stoops does not have the team up for bowl games. The Sooners were completely outplayed on both offense and defense. And this was a team that has one of the best offenses and defenses in the country. I felt like the Chicago Bears coaching staff was calling Oklahoma's offensive and defensive plays. Hats off to West Virgina for a great game.

Forget the BCS....let's have West Virginia play USC. THAT would be a game!

WVU proved that they don't need Rodriguez at all. What an excellent finish to the season for them. Should Slaton return for next year after a disappointing season, and White still running the offense, I feel that a National Championship under Coach Stewart could be highly possible.

Should USC being playing in the championship game? Remember USC lost to a lowly Stanford team at home who later lost to Notre Dame. And Notre Dame stunk up the field all year long. This has been a crazy year with all the upsets. Even after next Monday nights game between Ohio State and LSU I believe many of us will still be wondering who is really number ONE. Is it LSU, Ohio State, West Virgina, USC, Georgia or Missouri? It has been one of the most exciting years in college football I have seen in a long time.

Depot Jim & Sooner Mike, thanks for the props!!! I must admit; I too scratched my head at the early 2 pt try, followed by the attempted on-side kick. I was also surprised at one of Bradford's sacks. WVU DB, Quinton Andrews was coming full tilt and had a bead on Bradford. How he missed him, I'll never figure out. How Bradford went down, with Andrews having only gotten a hand briefly on his waist is an even bigger mystery.
Hey, a win is a win, and I'll take it.

Jim, you are right about how crazy this year turned out. USC lost to Stanford; OU lost to CO; TX lost to KS St; GA lost to SC; OSU lost to IL, WVU lost to Pitt; the list is to long to repeat!!! The point is no one team really stepped to the forefront to stand out as NC. If ever there was a year some sort of play-off was warranted, this was it.

Stoops ... Oops ...We need to have an "Iowa style caucus" with voters supporting USC, West Virginia, Georgia and the winner of the LSU - OSU game...Let them decide the National Champion since there will never be a playoff series.
