WVU aims to shoot down air attack

Coach Bill Stewart hopes West Virginia University can curb Louisville's passing in a Big East football game Saturday at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

By air attack I think he means them 3-4 yard screen passes on 3rd down when they need 10 yards for a first down.

T-6-V!!! How ya be??? Surly you must be referring to those *(&^#^@*&%!!! bubble screens WVU insists upon trying to get right. I don't think my Mountaineers have gotten significant positive yardage on more than half a dozen of those plays.

Sadly, our teams have a couple of things in common. They let Cincy get away on their respective home fields. They both need to win this one. Louisville loses: No winning season, and no guarentee for a bowl, should your Cardinals become bowl eligible with a win next week. WVU loses: Likely, the Big East title is lost with it. Pat White will be unable to win a 10th game in a season for the 4th consecutive year he's been a Mountaineer.

The question is, will the offenses dominate as usual, or will the defenses have a surprising day in the sun? Either way, I'm glad Louisville has joined the Big East. The series between them and WVU has proven to be a good one, and likely won't depart toward mediocrity any time soon. Enjoy!!!

What about that air attack where we throw the ball to the defense and they score, therby relieving the offense of the tiresome effort reqired to move the ball downfield?

Hey Zac hows it been bud..I read your post an agree with it all.I'll be surprised if we hang with you guys the 1st half,our program has declined so much its almost disgraceful.Our A.D had a slip of the tounge the other day an said we act like every weekend were supposed to go to the orange bowl !! Uhhh no Mr Jurich,but we do expect to beat syracuse,kentucky an cincinnatti.

We lost our best cornerback for the year against Cincy...were toast against you guys Zac.

I hope Im wrong but it doesnt look promising.

WVU has not played in the first half this year.
