UM wakes up

There are 9 comments on the Baltimore Sun story from Oct 19, 2008, titled UM wakes up. In it, Baltimore Sun reports that:

Could there be a more perfect illustration of Maryland's erratic but still promising season than showing up in black jerseys yesterday and shutting out No.21 Wake Forest, 26-0? The symmetry was perfect.

The Terps are again in the drivers seat. Maybe Ralph can make the Friedgen Top 25 and just put all the schools the Terps play in it so they'll beat them.

The Terps just have to keep winning and they'll punch a ticket to Tampa!

Great win...and good thing they are at home vs. NCState--should prevent a meltdown.

What a week to be a proud Terps fan and hats off to the whole team right down to the equip.mgr.and medical staff.I predicted 24pts. from the offense but a shutout from the defense? Amazing the potential this '08 Terps has when it has their act together. Can Ralph give them this week off, too?Nevermind,we play at home again;that would be silly at this point! Thanks,Chris Turner and recievers for playing a fine game;stay mentally together and you might go far(?)

Ralph should not be worried about not being in the top 25, he should be planning one gane at a time. That is his problem, trying to be something that could be, but won't because of poor coaching.

Prediction:

NC State 27
Maryland - 10

Maryland will finish with a 5-7 record.

I am happy that Maryland is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin.

Jelani Jenkins, Travis Hawkins and Isaac Holmes will be signing with the University of Florida.

Go Tar Heels

Preiction:

Maryland - 27
NC State - 10

Maryland will finish with a 9-3 record.

I am thrilled that my man crush Tavon Austin has chosen Maryland.

I just wish Ralph promoted me instead I was a tackling dummy for four years-but I got to see men naked.

Jelani Jenkins, Travis Hawkins and Isaac Holmes are beating down the MD door right now begging to be Terps.

Penn state has beat one team this year that was ranked (Illinois) and they are not even ranked any more.

Teams Penn state have beat are a combine 22-35

Prediction
Ohio State 42 Penn state 6

and lose 3 of their last 4

Maryland and Gary Williams - get crushed on the recruiting trail - again:

City College forward C.J. Fair committed to Syracuse yesterday, according to Baltimore Stars official Troy Franklin.
Fair, a 6’7 junior, is rated the No. 45 player in the 2010 class by Rivals.com .

10 % graduation rate for Maryland Basketball - nice job, Gary Williams (he said with a heavy dose of sarcasm !)

I can't believe that Debbie Yow, has not fired Gary Williams.

There is no way, that a parent should ever send their son to the University of Maryland to play basketball.

Maryland will finish with a 15-16 record and 4-12 in the ACC.

No NCAA bid

No NIT bid

I am glad that Maryland football, is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin.

Go Tar Heels !
