Sanchez going #4? Raji going #12? Moreno to the Saints at #14? Whatever you're smoking you need to send my way!

Hey Dan, we drafted an O-tackle last year. I quickly one forgets. Reminds me of a time I was running a company picnic raffle and forgot to remove the previous year's tickets and people who had died or moved on were winning all the prizes. Oh, you mean Angelo admits his earlier mistake and wants to play nice now. Ok.

Way too early for Britton. If the Bears are that desperate to save money, they should just trade down into the second round. I'd rather take a chance on Oher.

So the Bears are projected to take another offensive lineman... Will he be out for the year again once they draft him?

Who the funk is Eben Britton? Dan Pompei is an idiot. Heyward-Bey will be there by the time the Bears pick and if he isn't they need to get Harvin. I'm sick of the Bears striking out on these lame out of shape offensive linemen (Marc Colombo, Chris Williams, Terrence Metcalf, etc. etc.) When will the Bears learn that Angelo sucks at drafting offensive linemen? So help me g-d if they don't draft a WR in the 1st...

Thats way to early for Britton. First pick should be best WR,DE or DB available.
WR-Heywood-Bey or Maclin (Not Harvin!!!!)
DE- E.Brown,T.Jackson or M.Johnson (maybe L.English?)
DB- M.Jenkins or V.Davis
Only way they go O-line is if 1 of the top 4 drop to 18. I`d rather take my chances on one of the lower prospects in the 2nd, Loadholt,Beatty or even Fulton from Illinois in the 3rd round. Of the dozens of mocks and reports I`ve read on Britton, he is not going any higher than late 1st or early 2nd.

If you had a clue you would know he is one of the top OT's in the nation and the last real Super Bowl champion was built from the offensive and defensive lines out. And as I remember it Covert and VanHorne were drafted two years apart and taht went real well. Also smart guy Angelo doesn't do well with a lot of things but he still manages to put two different franchises in Super Bowls.

Another football mental midget heard from read the scouting reports this is a weak year for DB,DE and the best ones don't fit the scheme you will find out later the best prospects are under the radar it's just a matter if they are seen but the trenchs are were the Bears were beaten last season and thats were the future of the frachise is lacking.

Wow, I`m sorry ,I did`nt see the all knowing GM part on your buisness card. Yes all the DE`s in this draft are gambles but if the top o-lineman are gone where are you going at 18. I`m sorry I don`t live in your lofty tower of everything NFL.

Building the O line or D line does make sense. But mock drafts suck.

I'd rather trade down my 18th pick, gain 2nd or 3rd round picks, then draft WR Kenny Britt. Jairus Byrd should be the answer for our Free Safety need. Phil Loadholt in the 3rd round for the Right tackle spot. Now you have a team.

Da Bears are nothing special anyway in 09. Orton will not take them to the promise land and their defense is aging.

Sorry Bear fans, u have too many holes on that team. Might as well select good LT. You'll need one to protect the pocket happy Orton from spending time on his back.

The Bears have been drafting busts since the late 80's.

With what they've invested in Williams, and by picking up another tackle in the off season, I think prospects for acquiring another tackle in the first round are slim. Two starting tackles with no NFL experience? Unlikely. If they are going to build starting with the offensive line, they could even use another guard or a replacement for Olin Kruetz who is getting on in years before another tackle. But their record at drafting first rounders is abysmal. I remember pounding my head against the wall when they could have had Terrell Suggs but traded down to get Michael Haynes (who?) and Rex Grossman. Get some help this spring, Mr. Angelo.

Right...remember Suggs ran a "slow" 40 time which scared off the Bears -'nother nice move by the braintrust. BTW, has Grossman had any interest anywhere or is he going to retire?

Nicks will be a project at the next level. No sure shot to make it in the NFL.

He didn't put two teams in the Super Bowl, he was fired from TB in 2000 Rich McKay was in charge of the draft in Tampa not Angelo.

7 loosing seasons in a row they had with Angelo running the draft, McKay came in in 1993, and was the GM not Angelo, McKay hired Dungy. From 97-2002 the Bucs had 41 pro bowl selections, most in the NFL, and all of them were his players.

1987-2000, Angelo was director of player personel for the Bucs, his record from 87-92 when he did run the draft was 33-78, then along came McKay who was hired as the GM and took over the draft in 93, and there record with him from 93-03 was 86-74 with one super bowl win in 02, two years and 3 full drafts after Angelo was let go.

Angelo's first official draft for the Bears was in 03 after Ed McCaskey died, before then Jauron held the GM powers even though Angelo held the title, in 2003 he was elivated to full GM status. His record from 2003-2008 is 52-44.

Here is a list of some of the players on the 2006 Super Bowl team that Angelo did not draft.

T. Jones, M. Muhammad, D. Clark, J. Tait, R. Brown, O. Kreutz, F. Miller, R. Garza, A. Ogunleye, H. Hillenmyer, B. Urlacher, M. Brown, R. Manning, R. Gould, B. Maynard, B. Ayanbadejo, A. Boone, P. Mannelly, J. St. CLair, A. Peterson, and A. Brown.

Take Kreutz, Urlacher, Mike Brown, Alex Brown, and Ogunleye off this team and how good would they have been in 05-06. And yes I know he traded for Goon but he used Booker to make the trade and Booker was drafted by Hatley, without Booker there would not have been a trade.

As for Britton I do believe I know a thing or two about him. Nice Player, I don't think the Bears will draft him, it would be nice but I don't see that happening.
