This is awesome. Even in the mid-late 90's to 2002 when the team was at its competitive peak, the Dogs never sold out the place.

Yeah, they are almost as good as Disney on Ice, and every bit as funny.

I suspect every home game for the rest of the season will be sold out. I also hope they don't move any games to the Civic Center. That would take away the homecourt advantage.

The problem is the Civic Center HAS to have 10' between the seats and the court for fire escape reasons. Foolishly, the lower seats near concessions still put up those stupid curtains where the hockey boards used to be. I wished they would just move them up next to the court to create some intimacy. I would NEVER sell upstairs seats and keep it shut off unless I had to open them up and then a section at a time. I hate having 2,000 fans spread out in a 7,000 seat building.

OK -unreal-, what a ridiculous statement, you must be a stay at home dad - get a life

This team has come together as predicted and with the strength in their back court along with some experience and athletic team mates they are standing strong. The student body support and the community support is great.

If the AD moves their venue just to sell tickets ($$) she will do the program a big injustice as well as the players. It isn't the players fault that they play in a gym that is smaller than most high schools. She needs to leave it alone. It is part of their success!

Definitely don't move it to a high school gym. Keep them at the Justice Center. Some people just aren't going to be able to watch the games. Maybe even boost the price up to $7 or $8 and make a couple grand more for each game.

Big game tonight. Blow them out!!

I predict as long as George is healthy:

1. Ticket prices next year are up.
2. People will pay for season ticket packages immediately.

If I'm not mistaken, they have technology where they can show the score and time on the video while they are shooting. Where I'm going with this is they could split the cable and show the game on a big screen in the aux. gym to those folks who couldn't get tix. Just a thought.

Great atmosphere at the Justice this year. I'm excited about the new Kimmel arena, but am apprehensive that it might lose some of the good aspects the Justice has. Mostly I hope in the new arena the students get to remain along the court and are not relegated to the baseline.

A note to those who have General Admissions seats. Getting there early is a good idea and also that the Student Section doesn't sit down which might block some views, depending on where you sit.

I am a UNC CH fan(played for Roy), grew up here, and found myself rooting for UNCA when they played Chapel Hill. I listened to it on the radio and it was great!

The Civic Center is a horrible place to play anything, too dark & old, and no parking. Stay on campus like Duke does. They could sell 20,000 tixs for UNC game but they sell their 9,500 to stay at Cameron Indoor. A packed Justice Center is LOUD & there's not a bad seat!!

I'm looking for 3 tickets for the Saturday game. I'm an alumni from 1988 and would like to take my daughter to the game. I checked about a week ago and there were still tickets...should have bought them then...my bad! I can be reached at [email protected]

Are there any UNCA message boards for items such as this?

Cord,

I wish I could help you, but I think you are out of luck. Those tickets are going to be hard to come by. If you are in the area, I would go ahead and try to buy some tickets NOW for future home games.

Thanks NC, I'll try to dig around the next couple of days to see if I can scrounge up some tickets. Tempted to drive up and just hope for the best, who knows!

cool! I wouldn't mind going to a few games at the new place, wish there was a way to draw bigger crowds like in the 6,000 range like UNC-Wilmington does. That would be cool, to me at least! Ahh well, I'll definetly try to catch a few games up there when it opens!
Go Bulldogs go!!
