Like they were gonna become best buds after what happened. Sullivan should of walked away from UVA and said good riddance.

And this is news because:

(1) UVA is the premier institution of higher education in the state of Virginia (and receives the highest tax dollars, even though it continues to operate with less state/federal revenue)
(2) UVA is the largest employer in the region
(3) UVA graduates students who go on to positions of importance in the state, in the country, in the world
(4) UVA's Board of Visitors's (through Mrs. Dragas) micromanagement of the presidency will continue to hurt the institution
(5) UVA's prestige and national rankings have been seriously damaged already by Mrs. Dragas and her minions on the BoV
(6)... blah blah blah

For a hundred other reasons, this is news.

UVA is an alternative when you can't get in somewhere else.

oh so true...
most of the undergrads confuse UVA with MIT; Harvard; Stanford and
Princeton

let us continue on with the great practice of grade inflation....
because it's not about what you know; its about how you feel.

It is the governor's fault for his incomprehensibly stupid decision to re-appoint Dragas.

Helen Dragas has been and continues to be a total embarassment to the University and to me as an alumni. We all know how she got appointed, and money indeed makes strange bedfellows. Please go home Ms. Dragas and stick to your business. Richard Davis '53

How about a Dragas and Dumler going away party. Run them both out of town on a poll, Dumler might enjoy that.

@sez you: you doesn't seem to read the national media which consistently rank UVa in the top three publics - now they are talking undergraduates here, so Law Darden and Medicine are out. That leaves Arch, Curry, Eng., A&S, and the semi-pros, Batty and McDonalds (intended). A&S is by far the largest of these, so to whom is USNWR, Forbes etc, referring. I take it you couldn't get in to UVa. Given the recent honor overturn, the move to correspondence courses and the continuing drama of Queen Hellen (again intended), you may be more of a seer than a reporter of the current condition. Mediocrity, here we come.
