Made a curious observation, I use 93 octane in my car, there's a BP station just down the street that I've been using for some time now cause it's just too convenient. Just happened to fill up at an EXXON station a couple of weeks ago and found that I'm getting not a little better gas mileage, but a lot better gas mileage. Just thought I'd throe that out there.

Thank you so much Obama. I was worried...I know Hurricane Sandy was George Bush's fault. Also, I saw NBC Nightly News (you know, the network news that nobody watches but touts Brian Williams as spokesman of a generation) led the other night with a story about the tragic increase in the melting of the polar ice cap.

As Obama says, we will be spending the next sixteen presidential terms trying to undo theharm that George W. Bush (you know, that heathen) had done to our environment.

93 octane at exxon provides higher mpg than 93 octane at BP? Want to make sure I understand you correctly

UH....no...the 1% already provide 37% of the total tax revenues.

Which is coincidentally approximately the amount of wealth they own. The top 5 percent own over 60% of the wealth, and the top 10% own about 80% of the wealth, what's your point? This is why a flat tax will never pass, because the wealthy would actually pay more.
.
You can tax the top 1%, 1% more of their income, and generate more revenue than if you taxed the bottom 40%, 100% of their income.
.
But wait, itís not just about revenue, itís about cutting spending, too. Not just entitlement reform, but in the form of subsidies and in tax breaks. G.H. Bush cut the military (while defending an ally against invasion) and raised taxes and that led to the Clinton negative deficit.

I like Romney's plan, cap deductions at $50,000.
I'd go even lower.
Cap mortgage interest deduction and also to only the first home.
Means test soc security, medicare and tricare.

They're not declining in Ruckersville.$3.19 at Sheetz while $2.99 about 6 miles south in Charlottesville. Guess where I purchased my gas??????!!!! I'll drive the few miles to save the $2 as a matter of principle.

Dip, we all pay the same price at the pump...let's hope the gasoline prices stay low.

You wouldn't happen to be smoking a joint while driving on 93 octane gas from Exxon,
would you? If so, I can explain ....
Gave that up many moons ago, but please elaborate, I'm quite curious.

Well, time slows down when you are under the influence of thc, so you will seem to be
travelling longer because you are actually travelling slower without realizing it, hence seemingly further on the same amount of gasoline. Depends at which gas station you lit up at. Otherwise it's empirically and chemically impossible for 93 octane gas from two different refineries creating any difference, much less such a dramatic difference as you state.
The only other thing it could be is that the 93 octane being pumped was incorrectly filled by the tanker with 88. On purpose or a mistake? That's a story for NBC 29 to follow up on !

Could be plausible that Exxon hasn't switched over to the winter mix yet, or has less percentage of Ethanol in theirs.

Most gas companies change over to a "winter blend" using a higher mixture of ethanol for easier cold starting and smoother running in winter months. The trade-off is lower gas mileage.

Personally, I have noticed differences in MPG and vehicle performance based on where I've gotten my gas before.

I thought time slows as you approach the speed of light? Haven't lit a joint since 74. Anyway, I can't explain it but its there and no more BP for me.
