Coach London must have been a saint in a former life. What good fortune! Let the competition begin for starting QB and go Hoos!! No way Al Groan would have landed this kid.

I wonder if any first request for a hardship waiver has been denied.

<quoted text> Is Sims going to get a opportunity to play??? How good is this kid?? HS records look impressive but he didnt start at Alabama... I'm tryn to figure UVA's direction.. UVA has a good problem but a problem.. UVA has 5 or more QB's looking at starting... From this guy's resume he looks to be in a position to start should he beat last years competition...
If you're interested in how good he is, he was the #2 rated QB coming out of H/S. I expect him to start at UVA, if he can the plays. He's got football intelligence, not the fastest guy, but he's a pro-style pocket QB. A perfect fit for London's system

*if he can learn the plays.
My friends & I are pretty hard core about college football, or and many of them are UVA fans. They're really excited about this. We suspect that he would have started in Alabama had there not been some booster politics. I'm certain that he would start in at least half of the SEC schools, if not more.

I will sell my season tickets if more than one quarterback steps on the field for UVA during the first game this season. Simply cannot sit in that stadium for another second and watch them give away downs on the ridiculous QB swap, although I do think London learned his lesson with those shenanigans towards the end of the year. Don't get me wrong London is our man, but it was unbearable to watch defenses stack the box the second Watford stepped on the field...maybe a yard every single time, if that, just a dead giveaway. Might was well tell the other team what play you're running. If Sims can learn the offense then he should play every single down unless he's injured.

Yeah, because that certainly didn't work well for Chris Leak and Tim Tebow... how'd that work out again?

It doesn't matter who the QB is they will still be mediocre at best. After all, it is the unofficial mascot of UVA football.
