No divine intervention but hey just wait till next year.

The mascot thing was pretty funny there's a great photo in the Honolulu paper of Pete choking Big Blue.

Good game. A point or rebound here or there...

No seniors on the NMSU team and only one junior? Definitely going to be one of the top two teams in your conference going into next season.

I hope the Aggies do well, except for the games against the Lobos, of course.

Congrats Aggies on a well played game but a heart-breaking loss. Tough when Gillenwater fouled out. Some tough breaks at the end. Season looks bright for next year. Nobody expected NMSU to play Utah State this tough after previous meetings. Great tournamet guys. GO AGGIES.

Marv ... what do you mean "Right now I don't know"? Let the guys play some more and don't turn this tournament down like you did last year. If you think your team is too good to play in the College Basketball Invitational, you are wrong. If they were too good, wouldn't they be invited to the NCAA or the NIT? We have an incredible group of guys and if they want to play some more let them. They could even win this tournament!

NMSU Administration,

Please do not pay $60,000 for the Aggies to play in a inconsequential tournament like the CBI. The NCAA and NIT get the top 112 teams. Do we really want the Aggies to play in a tournament filled with the bottom feeders of the teams in Division I?

The CBI does noting to benefit the basketball team or the reputation of the university. NOTHING. It costs too much in entrance fees and travel expenses that we cannot afford, especially when the university and the state of New Mexico are cutting back. If we have to spend, why not use the funds to benefit other academic or athletic programs, programs that are just as deserving, or even more so, than the basketball program?

Leave the CBI to desperate schools like UTEP who crave any kind of post season recognition they can get at any cost. Do you notice that the Miners DO NOT have a CBI banner hanging in the Don Haskins Center, even though they paid to play last year? UTEP didn't hang a banner because its administration is embarrassed for paying for the Miners to play in the CBI.

Let's not be pathetic UTEP. Just say NO to the CBI! Please.

HEARTBREAKING LOSS. Hopefully we play some post season play. We need it with this young team. You know if any team gets to play ANY post season game, that's good. I don't care what tournament it is. You know these young men want to play one more game, GIVE IT TO THEM!!!

Gotta agree with Say NO, the athletics department is in a huge hole right now with their deficit, so why should Mac shell out money to go play in a pathetic tourney?

This season is done. The team exceeded my expectations in the WAC tourney and the future looks bright.

GO AGGIES!

I just wanted to say that nm state was robbed. The refs handed the game to Utah state. 2 crucial plays which changed the outcome was the jumpball call which your player was clearly fouled, and should of been at the line but instead possession was given to utah state.. Right after that play Utah state knocked the ball out and the refs (from Utah maybe?) gave the ball back to Utah which set up the winning shot. Your team played there hearts out, and deserved the win but the refs decided otherwise. From a wolfpack fan just wanted to give my opinion from a neutral fan on that game.
