Nice defensive game for the Aggies. Terrible play calling on the offensive side of the ball in the last five minutes. The Aggies were not ready to spread the floor and go one-on-on. They do that nonsense in Logan, and it will be a long night for NMSU.

It's a long night for everyone in Logan. They beat almost everybody in Logan. It is like fighting a mountain lion in a corner, and the fans are ruthless. If there is a player with a problem, they will hackle him to death. You watch they will hackle JY,even though he hasn't had problems lately.

Straight up, in-your-face D was the difference in this game. Wesley was impressive. JY jacked a few that he probably shouldn't have and Wendell was held in check, but Rahman got his offensive boards and Gibson got hot and did I mention the defense? It seems that a large percentage of the Aggie shots come from the right side of the basket. Maybe they need a lefty out there. Great effort Aggies. Good win.

That has to be the worst high school coaching (last five minutes) I have ever seen. They are lucky and for that I am greatful. That type of thinking will get them nowwhere this season.

I have to agree that last 5 minutes was poor coaching. They neeeded to stay aggressive ad get buckets. They did play great defense and squeezed out a victory. I don't understand why they don't let gib and jy drive to basket and dish to mckines every play. We can't live and die by the three!!

Where is Gillenwater? With him we have a serious shot at going to the show. Coach, I will tooter him if that is helpful. Seriously, the players have it tough balancing school and athletics. It is your job to monitor this progress. I am sure there are many students and teachers that will help out. I for one volunteer my help. I can be reached at [email protected]

Mark S and Broadway--can you please enjoy the win? I am a huge Menzies critic, and hate his coaching style, but can you please enjoy this one. They played great defense for once and got the W.

The only negative thing about last nights game was the empty Pan Am. The official attendence was 5k, but on TV it looked more like 3k. On a Saturday night in Las Cruces? Ridiculous.

Hopefully this win will help get more people in the seats on Monday against Nevada. A 2-0 start against those two teams would be great!

Agree. Good defense. Lackluster offense in the last five minutes.

Glad I'm not the only one that thought the coaching was terrible...again. It wasn't just the last five minutes either, they were trying that high pick and roll the whole game and what's worse is they're TERRIBLE AT IT. The big guys rarely roll aggressively but it's probably because the guards go way too wide off the screen. Yet they kept doing it over and over and over and over....And by the way, the Las Cruces locals don't deserve a winning college program. Nice Saturday night crowd against a WAC rival. Embarrassing!

I think Menzies needs to use his big men more aggressively. Most of Rahman's points came from offensive rebounds. They should be feeding him in the middle. I'd like to see more of N'Doye and West also. On a positive note, Watson looks good.
