That's great story. Being from Minnesota,"the state where nothing is allowed", play guns are not allowed anywhere when a school is involved. I'm sure as the socialists become "even more in control" things like this story will become even more rare. Until then, have fun Mr. Downs.

Some guy offers $100 for Pete's mustache and the other mascot is dumb enough to take the bait. That is stupi times two. That fan should be barred from a season full of games, all sports as a show of respect for spirit and civility. Or, he could walk the parking lot with a sandwich board that reads, I AM STUPID.

I've gotta say, I'm proud of the way DJ is handling this. He is an outstanding young man. I hope my boys grow up to be as good a man as DJ is.

had him in a public speaking class at nmsu - alamogordo while he was still in HS...good kid...glad to know hes doing good

DJ is such a great guy and I'm not surprised he handled the situation so well. He does come from a very, very nice family.

So the aggressor, the mascot of the other team, was NOT suspended? That sure doesn't seem right. Shouldn't he have been charged with assault?

The article says the other mascot was suspended.
