This was a tough loss, it was a very winnable game. I think we have one more that we can possibly win and that is LA Tech. Maybe home field advantage will factor in to that.

I'm not upset though, NMSU has tied their FBS record last year and next years recruiting class is looking pretty good. I think we'll be a much better team in a year or so.

Go Aggies! Looking forward to seeing who our new WAC opponents will be during that time.

Utah State was a double digit favorite, but NMSU showed resolve in making this a better game than anticipated. I like the progress of the program. Go Aggies!

After the Hal Mumme debacle and now Walker, firing Tony Samuel after a 6-5 season seems like it was a poor decision, doesn't it?

The man understood how bad NMSU football is and had a strategy to go with it: run the ball every play so the clock is always running. That makes the game shorter and reduces the amount of time the Aggies have to shoot themselves in the foot with game-losing mistakes.

We have arguably the worst QB in the country, completion percentage, passer rating, that is tha aggies biggest problem.

leave the quarterback alone. the kid is working hard, coming back from an injury and doing a solid job.
walker is doing what he can do in a BAD situation. do you people really think, with all his football ties and contacts, he will stick around here and lose after next year? if he does, he isn't as smart as i give him credit for. Joe Pa himself couldnt come to nmsu and build a winning football program.
what hurts this program and the others on campus is the fact that the fans want to talk all the time and place unrealistic expectations on our teams, meanwhile they don't buy tickets or go to games and just want to gripe. this is a college town with division 1 athletics. stop thinking you are at texas or ohio state, etc... and help support our teams. sure, they arent going to win all the time, but can't you people support the kids and the coaches and appreciate the hard work they are putting in? you are missing out.
the big issue is the clown that calls himself the Athletics Director! yep, boston is your problem. he walkd around thinking he is smarter than all of us, when he is really the most out of touch guy around. does he ever stop to say hi to any of you at games? nope! he is the one everyone needs to be dumping on and not our coaches or players. support our people!! have fun aggies.

From listening to the game, it seemed like a big problem was aggies committing penatlies and negating the big plays that they made. Maybe the coaches should spend a little time educating the players about penalties.

Samuels is 9-1 at SEMO and Mummie is 5-4 at McMurray.

Say what you want about Mummie but at least we could score points with Mummie's teams and the games were generally exciting.

Off to the Tidy Bowl once again.

But since Barbara Couture raised the ticket prices for faculty and staff to attend Cultural Series music events, Boston will still get his raise again this year.
