In the 80's Mark was a student and eventual business partner of mine in Vancouver, Washington. I have never seen a man as devoid of morals as Mark was. He served time for child molestation in Washington State and defrauded me of money and reputation. His death has erased mankind of the most devious individual I have ever known. If you dig deep enough, I think you will find that his "m.o." had not changed since moving to Moscow. I am feeling a deep sense of relief with his passing. I met Mark in Moscow while I was serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very rough around the edges, but a hard worker and very generous. He fed all of the local missionaries a meal from his restaurant every week and gave us unsolicited cash on occasion. May he rest in peace.
