The UH should continue to build up the football program big time. After this initial season under coach Mac the Warriors will be in position again to move up higher in the respect category compared to the rest of the NCAA. With a big time arm (Alexander) and the wideouts "glue fingered returnees", all they need to is keep their heads screwed on right not leaving early for the NFL unless they're a sure 1st round pick. The defense which is coach Mac's baby will benefit with the likes of this kid (Nonga "oops" Nobriga). Coach Lee will be able to turn em loose even more next season. "Can't wait", GO GREEN!!!!!

wow- if you go back and look at the game david popped the ball out of qb's hand partially, josh leonard took down the qb about 3 feet from where david fell on ground, and stopped the qb from recovering the ball. Then it was josh leonard who blocked for john when he was trying to pick up fumbled ball. He also tackled another nevada player as john ran into touch down area. It was a three person effort. none of which would of happened without all three working together as a team!!

Finally the defense gets the recognition they deserve.

Eh, it's a rebuilding season but the guns is already starting to show. The defense and the offense, while still a little wet behind the ears, has all the potential to become the sole owner of the WAC Championship again in about two years.

To the 32,000 people that got in their cars -- even though you knew it was almost guaranteed that it was going to rain and then stayed in your seats even though is was pouring through most of the game -- YOU ARE REAL WARRIOR FANS!!!

Santa's list for UH is big and quick offensive tackles, strong and quick DE and outside line backers, quick, fast and good hands receivers (don't have to be big), strong and fast safeties. I hope UH recruiters have their own speed measuring equipment rather that rely on just hearsay. Some of the boys that signed with UH and other colleges were not considered fast in high school. They probably improved, but not that much.

The other paper is reporting that Alexander is going to be the starting QB this week against Utah State. Funaki will play some role (but hopefully a diminished one). I suggest they go all out and bring back the Run and Shoot of old. Alexander definitely has the arm strength, decent accuracy and mobility.

Utah state will be the game to give more momentum to the Warriors. They need to take of business in the 1st half and play consistently the 2nd half to score and make big plays.

New Mexico will be an interesting game with its version of the run and shoot. Shouldn't be anything different Uh faces in practice, maybe a little. I hope the corners will step up and not give up too much yardage especially on 3rd down conversions.

It's a shame they're Seniors, but they sure as heck have set a high bar / level for others to follow. I hope both of them can make it through the entire season injury-free, but that's a lot to ask these days.
