Good grief, it took long enough to oust man. You think that LCSN would do a better story on this, especially on who his replacement's accomplishments and qualififications rather than just brush over them.

Best wishes Dr. Charley Johnson (Chem E) probably one of NMSU's most accomplished NFL players ever.

I just wonder what this is going to cost?

Who is going to pony up the money to pay off Mumme's contract?

Hopefully you athletic boosters have your checkbooks out because this should not come from state funds.

Be nice, Old Navy! ;-)

That would depend on the fine print within the contract... might have been a breach, due to performance of team (or lack thereof).

When everyone should have been in an uproar was with Martin!

Johnson is just the interim appointment right? That's what I understand.

I do hope that AD Boston goes out and vets some serious candidates for this replacement. In order to shore up recruiting (an absolute requirement to improve the program) we need someone with SOME form of a solid reputation and can build the program from the ground up.

I know it will take time, but I would like to see better recruiting and field performance in 3 years - 2 to rebuild - 1 for action on the field.

Yes Johnson is just a pro tem! I agree with you too. It would be in the best interest of NMSU to go that course rather than make hasty decisions.

I think it is about time that we get a new coach. Aggies only won what 3 games so far. There is something that is missing and thats a new coach

I think Mumme was great. I hope he takes his unemployment check and laughs at everyone. It has to be a great thing leaving New Mexico.

He should have been gone after the first year. Losing team, teams almost gets dropped to AA status, costs the university in a law suite for being a bigot. Good ridance.
