Beating 2 BCS teams (in 2005 and now) as a undefeatd non-BCS team shows mw something. The BCS doesn't work. Oklahoma (beaten by Texas) playing for the National Championship is just plain B.S.

You do not need a Sears Trophy to be Champions. Utah is the Nation's National Champions. Do the math. Maybe the BCS Computer does not understand what the meaning of Undefeated means. Someone program it into it's memory. Way to Go Utah!

Both great comments. You both realize they (Utah) did the same thing in 2005. Beat Pitt 35-7 in the Fiesta Bowl that year to remain undefeated. OUCH!

13-0 and no where to go. Stop whining. you are not the only ones who have ever had this happen to them. Alabama in 1966 and Auburn in 2004 to name a few. Alabama was not the same team without LT Smith. Try Utah without your starting QB as a comparison.

Nice one Tony start bringing all the excuses the sacks didn't even come from LT's side he couldn't have stopped the whole Utah defense. Triple 6 there's no way to know how they would have done for the whole year maybe the MWC is every bit as good as the SEC know way of telling for sure except by playing the games, and we all know that won't happen cause you're all afraid to come out west. All I can say is SCOREBOARD!!!

They still deserve credit for beating. The Tide was heavily favored and I'm not gonna go with that "lets see how they do in the SEC" bc that won't happen. Utah beat them where it mattered.

MWC 2 SEC 0 in the only two games between the conferences this year. MWC is also 6-2 vs. The Pac 10. Utah defeated the only team to beat USC.

Smith plays offense. So how would he have stopped the Utes scoring a quick 21 on the Roll Over Tide?

Utes were living in the Bama backfield all night long. I doubt if Smith could have blocked the entire Ute D-line.

Smith is not Superman.

Typical Bama wannabe whiner. You LOST! Get over it. They don't play the game when both teams say, hey, yeah, we're ready now. They play the game on the date scheduled, they both show up, and in this case, one team kicked the crap outta the other (i.e., YOURS). We didn't whine when you beat us - we took it like men (and women) and moved on. Oh yeah, then we won our bowl game. Couldn't not get that one in.... ;)
