UTAH??????????what the hell....how about Bama or Florida or Georgia, we play enough west coasters, we need to add a South Eastern School...I know the SEC won't play many bigtime out of conference teams but come on.

Puzzled by Utah are we? Most wins over BCS schools. Seems to me the last thing that pathetic shell of a team needs right now is Georgia or a Florida. Isle 9 at Wal-Mart you can buy your very own clue....

Utah's program is every bit the equal of nd. I wouldnt have played at south bend unless i got a return game in 2011 at Salt lake City.

sorry to piss on your west coast Parade but Utah isn't an Equal and by 2010 they will just weaken our schedule. I see one of you is from Utah and it is great that you are happy about your programs win over a BCS school.....now when you say wins over BCS schools...what you mean is wins over schools from BCS conf. well Washington is a BCS school, Stanford is a BCS school....hardly powerhouses. I bet most of those wins are against PAC-1 teams. Hey you did beat Michigan, the first game of them running their new offense. We beat them by more and allowed them to score less....we are hardly equals. I don't think we are that good this year, we will go to a bowl but even with our watered down week schedule, I bet we beat more "BCS" teams this year than you do. It's nice that your little school got a little glory but we have no SEC teams on our schedule and have been trying to get Bama on it for a while now. That was the point. Georgia is another school of interest because we would be willing to play a neutral site game in Atlanta. We recruit heavy in Georgia. They are a hotbed for NFL caliber talent. We already play California teams. Hey maybe you guys will go undefeated and might get a chance to play a 8-4 ND team in a bowl game.

that is true. Alabama won't negotiate. We have no open dates in the first 4 games. They do and they have open dates later in the season for various years, they just don't want to risk playing Notre Dame later. They want us to cancel Michigan, Michigan State or Purdue, they are traditional rivals and we usually play them in the first 5 weeks. Since we signed with Michigan until 2035, they aren't being dropped. Besides, they are bigger than Bama as far as fans go and wins. We did offer the opening game in the 2011 and 2013 seasons originally and they had it open at the time and refused it. Believe me, I would love to have you on the schedule. It has been great for us playing Alabama as far as winning and I think it would help both teams since we are seemingly both headed back to where we are supposed to be traditionally. If you care to refute any of this please do, but I am telling you it can't be done. We need to get our schedule back to being by far the toughest schedule in the country year in and year out. Our old AD really watered it down with a bunch of Big East schools in the future. Hope you have a good season. I think we will although we aren't world beaters by any stretch yet. I am realistic unlike many Bama fans and you know that. There is no way Bama should be ranked where they are. They can prove me wrong by going undefeated over the next 7 weeks, anything other than that and they are overrated. It is like we were in 2006. We had some very good players but weren't deep. I think to many Bama fans see the victory over Clemson as a bigger deal than it was. Great win and I rooted for bama the whole game but it looked more like one coach had his shit in one sock and the other didn't. You have to admit that it is a little crazy that you go from 25 to number nine after only playing one team that has any talent. None of this is meant to be an insult, I am just saying make sure you are cautious when talking about how good your team is in here before it is proven that they are that good. I see you beating some teams that are great but I could just as easliy see you dropping a couple to teams that aren't great. Now next year, will be a different story. I'm just not sold on them being #9 yet. With that said I don't consider my team a top 25 team after 2 games. We have a lot of improving to do and I think we will as the season goes on. |
