Right on for Kepa Gaison and all the Hawaii boys playing for Utah.
|

Pac 1 |
||||
FCS or Div. I-AA or whatever they're called, has a playoff system. BCS should examine it. App State did a 3-peat, but lost in the playoffs this year. |

get rid of the bcs and make a playoff, it would've been interesting to see if utah could win the whole thing

I can just see it now. The BCS will agree to a playoff and everyone will go yahoo!! Then they will clarify that it will only include the top 10-20 teams, so that most of them will be the BCS big boys and still keep the money for themselves. That way, even if one or two of the non BCS teams get in it will limit the financial damage. Plus, it will stop the gripes of any BCS team that they should have been allowed to play for the national championship. You can bet the BCS will pull whatever stunt they can, just like a bunch of self serving politicians. I've never understood why all the non BCS teams won't get together and sue the BCS and NCAA over a true playoff system. With all these teams contributing to the pot, they could pay for one gigantic lawsuit with the best attorneys representing them.

Great game UTES! I Hope UH take good note on how to play against an SEC team!

I agree with you that USC is as good as any team in the country. However, the bottom line is, they LOST to OREGON STATE. End of story. If they had beaten OSU, it USC would be the undisputed #1 team in the country. But they lost, and, therefore, they don't deserve to be #1. No way in hell that Utah should be #1. Beating ONE SEC team is one thing. Playing SEC teams week after week after week is another thing. |

Saban and Alabama's offensive play calling in the 2nd half was horrendous. Utah's speed to the perimeters ate up their short pass game and outside run game. Alabama should have exposed their safeties with over the middle passing and using Julio Jones as their X factor. He was not used enough.
Then again, if your defense can't stop a little Mountain West team, then the point is moot. Roll Over Tide |
||||
I agree with you about USC; my point is that Utah does not play in the SEC but is best in its conference. Every conference winner should be in a national playoff, and the four independents should join a conference or be automatically excluded from the BCS (read Notre Dame). If it was not about money, the BCS could do it right without stressing their "student athletes" with too many games. By the way, did you note that Arizona just beat Atlanta in an NFL playoff, a team with a better record from a tougher division? |

Utah should be ranked No. 1. USC lost to OSU and beat only 3 other ranked teams; Oregon, Ohio state and Penn State. Florida lost to Ole Miss. Oklahoma lost to Texas.
Utah is undefeated and beat 4 ranked teams; TCU, BYU, OSU and Alabama who was ranked No. 1 for half the year. Utah has beaten more ranked teams and a higher ranked team than USC! the victory over Alabama was better than Florida's win. You have to watch the football being played on the field, not just look at the name of the school. |
||||
They beat Oregon State, Alabama (#1 team for much of the season), Michigan, TCU, BYU, and finished undefeated. While their schedule isn't the toughest in the nation, it wasn't that shabby either. As for USC, they have one loss. You can make the same argument that Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Oklahoma should be out due to one loss. The fact is that the PAC-10 is a very underrated conference. They get minimal coverage due to an east coast bias in television, exposure, and media. They will have the best bowl record once again. |
||||
Please u have no clue I am not argueing with u I think u need to not say false things and look at the offensive line that was not the same line we had and as young as we are we did very well and when we do get depth u nay Sayers well still b haters because next year could b the year we play on the NC and Utah won't be there |

The Warriors will always be invited back to the BCS Bowl after that incredible sugar bowl last year. Promising.

Once again? When was the last time? lol Hats off to the PAC this season. Conference strength varies from year to year and the PCA was rather good this season, however; it is often called the PAC-1. Other than USC, the SEC has blasted the PAC in recent years and overall (see all time record). Don't get me wrong, I think the PAC was as good as any conference in 08. Big 10 down, Big 12 needs defense, etc.. To echo a previous post, PLAYOFFS. |
