At the very least, the upcoming Pac-10 football season will be a parade of story lines, with story line #1 being the Battle for Los Angeles.

D.V., nleitere is right. Time to chill for the night. But I will always tip my Bruin hat to those 2003 and 2007 National Championships you guys have.

Hey on an LSU related matter, what's up what Shaq and his free agency? Is his time is the NBA now a thing of the past? Seems like teams are afraid of him hurting their chemistry as I don't see teams jumping thru hoops (pardon the pun) to land him.

Thanks for tipping your hat to the 2003 and 2007 National Champion, LSU Figtin' Tigers! Thank you very much!!!:) As for the Shaq, I think it's time for him to hang his tennis shoes up! He's getting too old!:) I think a lot of the Shaq and everything. But, seriously, I think he needs to turn it over to the kids!:)

Seems like Shaq is this year's Allen Iverson. Probably will not be signed until either the beginning of the season or when a team's big man goes down.

Too bad he burned his bridges with Kobe because he'd look awfully good backing up Bynum for 10-15 minutes a night.

I was thinking exactly the same thing! I think those two ego though could no longer coexist. Maybe if Shaq completely bowed down and let the "little brother" now run the team.

But here is a twist for Kobe. As long as Shaq is on the team with him, Kobe will always have "one more than Shaq" in titles and also prevent Shaq landing on another team and riding the coat tails of someone else to get his 5th ring (say like the Miami trio).

What's interesting is Shaq seems to have at least somewhat acknowledged that he was rather stupid in orchestrating his ride out of town. If only Kobe could put pride aside and extend the olive branch...

Wolfie, My condesending comment of him "somehow landing" that award was referring to no bowl game for SC and that would be his only solitude (if he won).

I have yet to see Prince in a good rhythm for an entire game, so if he can start to muster up that (and of course avoid getting hurt), then I will be one of the faithful, as opposed to hopeful!

What do you account as being better? The stats don't lie. Barkley proves it on the field, when their is an opponent on the other side, when it counts. I can stand in front of my bathroom mirror and look good throwing the football.
