The stars are aligning for Justin Blackmon.

I believe Kalil only comes out if Barkley also comes out. Maybe they wanna try & compete for a national championship.

As for us, Justin Blackmon won't get it one for us. I'd rather have Michael Floyd or maybe Dwight Jones, if we go wideout, but i sure don't want any wideout in the top 5. Wide Receiver is the easiest position to get later in the draft & with all of our horrible defensive prioblems, i just can't imagine a luxury pick like a wideout without a big trade back. we need some "big knockers" as bud grant would say.

Interesting. WR? No. I think Kalil comes out, I hope we get him...or trade down for picks.

When there is a receiver of Blackmon's magnitude you don't trade down.

Blackmon's a poor man's Michael Crabtree.

I would say more like Anquan Boldin and If Blackmon runs a 4'4 at the combine I take him.

While it's true we need a #1 WR, there are other WRs who could be considered. Insiders have Blackmon listed as #11 on BPA. Kalil is #2 BPA. I just think a LT is harder to acquire than a WR.

Also, I might add, that the playing life-span of a premium LT is longer than a WR, and LT is more likely to play in every game, less chance as a bust. We almost never get a chance to draft this high....draft wisely.

The NFL has a limited supply of premium receivers, those in fantasy know this.Whether you get the gem in the later rds of the draft is debatable.Same with LT or OL in general.
According to Pro Football focus, our OL ain't all that bad and our C is a projected Pro Bowl player.
The bitch of the matter
is
with so much quality at #2 or 3,WHO to take.
Especially with our needs.
I'm still getting FA receivers and using the draft for D
but
I guess we'll have a better handle on teams intent once FA is here.

Name a offensive lineman on the packers? It doesn't matter when you have 5 receivers with agility. Guys that can score every-time they touch the ball. It is about play-makers not blockers. Any freeagent lineman with do if you have a offense with Peterson, Harvin, Blackmon, and a few more pieces.

If Ponder has no play-makers that injury prone tag will come back because he will get hit and hurt. He is not a big guy.

i thought he was slower than 4.5. Boldin's a physical receiver. Blackmon's not. I've seen blackmon listed as short as 5'10" 185 & as big as 6'1" 215. i guess we'll see at the combine. I like blackmon, just not where we'll be picking.

Ha! Ha! National Championship? First they've gotta figure out how to win the Pac 12. Baby steps.

"If" Blackmon runs a 4.4 I take him if not Morris Claiborne is the man. The guy we pick must be a difference maker.

I'd be down with Morris Claiborne. Heard on the radio today that in the last 15 years, the Vikings have not finished in the top 10 in pass defense. As a side note, one in 3 world champions have the #1 pass defense. I'd love to trade down with a QB hungry team a few slots, pick up a 2 & still take Mo.

Name a Packer O/L player. What's that prove? Teams will blitz Ponder until we have an O/L that can protect...and Ponder will get hurt. Example..last game. 300+ yards passing, so play-makers were there, still, he got hurt because of pressure which the O/L could not stop. It takes 2 to 3 years for a WR to shine, O/L right away. Much better to acquire WRs thru FA than draft, at least you get a proven player. Given our lack of players, we should take BPA. If not a player in an area of need, trade for draft picks immediately....then draft a DB as the best O/L will be gone.

Packers have been selecting first round linemen at a very high rate of late.

2011 Derrick Sherrod, OT
2010 Bryan Bulaga, OT
2009 Raji, DT
2008 - NO PICK RD 1 -
2007 Justin Harrell, DT

so, i think that is 4 tackles for the packers first pick in round one 4 drafts in a row. Don't those idiots know how to draft?

If not for the NCAA cronies and their hypocritical sanctions, USC WOULD have won the Pac12 Championship. Remember this, USC is Number 5 in the country right now in the AP poll. If your team loses their bowl game, we could finish at a higher ranking. HaHa

Dream on CT. If LSU loses to Bama they have one loss to a far superior team than anybody USC played. LSU and Bama will end the season 1 and 2 in that order.
