Go Rebels!!! You have accomplished great success over the last two years, and done it with the dignity, humility, and grace. All of New Fairfield is very proud of you, and, what ever happens henceforth, you and your predecessors have established yourselves as champions forever in the hearts of your hometown. Well done gentlemen.

New Fairfield were great champions and played with heart and class. In the regular season and the SWC Championship game, only one goal separated these two teams. Newtown won with class and New Fairfield lost with class. That's the way it should be. Well done by both coaches and all the players.
