The Lobo football program has always been a total farce. Time to dismantle this boondoggle and put the money to better use. Let Rocky go out and get a real job and stop being a parasite on taxpayer money! WHAT A JOKE!

I remember when it used to be fun to watch/listen to the games. To listen to Mike Roberts' play by play. Then they wanted to go "Big Time" and the fun went out of it. The women's BBall team still has that spirit.

I'll bet the folks who run the New Mexico Bowl LOVE this.

They're looking at Fresno State vs. Air Force in front of a half-empty stadium???

Would've been nice to win some of the games that were there for the taking: Air Force, UNLV stand out in my mind but Utah, BYU and A&M were winnable too. Nice win over Arizona and that's really about it. Overall, a very disappointing season. Lots of mistakes still being made on both sides of the ball--things you'd hope not to see in game 11.

Re: the New Mexico Bowl--it is a big plus for the city to have that game but many people here don't support the Lobo football program when things are going well (I was at the UA-UNM game and people started leaving at halftime, for eg.) so I don't see this population ever showing up big for an unattractive matchup between two middle-tier WAC and MWC teams. The New Mexico Bowl, as its currently configured, is an uphill proposition.

Long's post game comments were the sad rantings of a washed-up coach.
Time to go away, Rocky.

I agree. I think this year's team underachieved and it may be time for a change.

I've never seen a coach act that cocky while sucking so badly. Time to drop kick him thru the goalpost of life.
