UCLA looks good on film

After his usual post-film session refrain of the previous day's game not being as bad as the evening before and not as good, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel sneaked an innocuous little comment in there, a throwaway line that meant so much more.

Exactly right. You can see there is the potencial to be a very good football team. The only thing standing in the way is consistancy. But most of all UCLA has to rid it self of the familiar penalty or turnover at the most critical times.

And with all the talent glut of these genius's happy to sit on the bench for 4 years with hopes of being drafted into the NFL without having played a full game in their entire career, it looks like Mike Lupica is right, under-achievers. They manage to destroy each season with at least one big stink bomb game. Who will it be this year?....Washington state?

Wow, really? 1998? You remember that far back? Wasn't that around the time UCLA had won their 8th straight game against $uc? You know how they say there's cycles to winning in college football. It's about to turn back to UCLA.

What's worse? Losing on the road to a better than good football team 59-0 in BYU, OR at home to a terrible 41 point underdog in Stanford while being a top 3 team? Are they even? No friggn' way.

Once they stack the line and make $uc work for their yards, the losses will be a coming, the schedule is too tough this year.
