It's OK for UCF fans to be (a little) excited about the Knights...

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

Y ou're not going to believe this. In the first half of Saturday's spring intrasquad football game, UCF's offense was on pace to break Wilt Chamberlain 's record.

Coach O'Leary has built this team from ground up. He has assembled the best team in UCF history and we have a good chance to go undefeated this year. Would it not be the GREATEST if we meet the UF Gayturds in the LIBERTY BOWL and embarass them on national television?? This team can do it...Go Coach O'Leary and Knights!!!

I agree, ucfrock you are delusional. It was simply a spring football game not the SEC championship game. Spring football games give the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate the freshman and sophmores on the team. You can wake up ufrock your team's upcoming season will be another nightmare!

Are you kidding??? I saw the offense, they were terrible!! Plus the 1st team offense was playing against the 2nd team defense. The starting QB sucks as much as he did last year also (ie: overthrowing players in the flat!) Realistically, the offense will suck again next year and O'Sucky will be back.

LOL you're an idiot. The offense was leaps and bounds better than last year. Are you serious? Last year, the 1st team O couldn't even get a 1st down! AND last year the 1st O was playing against the 2nd D. You have NO idea what you are talking about!

Mark you're a loser that loves O'Leary. Why don't you have his babies, that's obviously why you love him so much. You're just plain dumb, shutup.

...and by the way that's not a good sign then for the defense. I'm not going to argue with you, because you are an irrational fool!

This about sums it all up right here:

"The Knights ranked 119th (dead last) in the nation in total offense last year, 114th in scoring, 116th in passing and 99th in rushing. They weren't just bad; they were across-the-board bad. If college football is supposed to be a form of entertainment than the Knights were about as entertaining as being put on hold by tech support."

Usually in the spring the defense is ahead of the offense. That should especially be the case here with a new offense installed. The fact that its not isn't a good sign.

CUSA boasts some VERY high powered offenses, but you don't see them winning the conference do you? DEFENSE wins titles in this league. UCF #1 D in '07, ECU #1 D in '08.

you are seriously out of your mind. OR more likely, a USF troll who has nothing better to do.
1) the offense performed a million times better than last year's spring game.
2) the scoring system was favored towards the offense. I still say the D played overall better. Absolutely destroyed our #2 offense.
3) Last year our O couldn't do squat against the #2 Defense
4) you simply don't understand the game of football. you think you do, by just blandly talking trash with NOTHING to back it up except for garbage ranting.

Your current team dos not have the talent/players to even compete in the sunbelt conference this year. I would be curious to know how your latest recruiting class compared to other schools around the State. You have to start with talent, no talented team will always equate to little or no wins.

A lot of garbage posts here... The team showed signs of progress- nothing more, nothing less.
The running game has matured slightly and the QB will improve by association.
We would destroy the sunbelt and had better recruiting classes then all of the non-BCS FL schools.

I was very disappointed with the Offense at the spring game. I am not going to say they are worse than last year, but they aren't much better. They ran the same old tired plays from a year ago. Boring, Boring, Boring. I forsee another very disappointing year. After what I saw I don't regret not renewing my season tickets
