If Plancher was a minor when he..." signed a form", THEN, a summary is not awarded ."

If Plancher was eighteen when he "form was signed", then UCF will pay $200 K.

"The UCFAA filed the third motion in the case, requesting protection under a Florida statute that does not allow state agencies to pay more than $200,000 in settlements without approval from the Legislature."

"The Knights ranked 119th (dead last) in the nation in total offense last year, 114th in scoring, 116th in passing and 99th in rushing. They weren't just bad; they were across-the-board bad. If college football is supposed to be a form of entertainment than the Knights were about as entertaining as being put on hold by tech support."

What does this have to do with Ereck? You did nothing but clearly show you're a USF troll.

This d-bag obsessed internet troll just copy and pasted it's moronic post from another topic. You aren't fooling anyone. You didn't/couldn't graduate from UCF. Go back to USiF you tool.

Glad to see UCF isn't rolling over on this. I have no problem with the Plancher's receiving a fair settlement, but it sounds like they are looking for jackpot justice, just like the family of the Missouri player who died. I hope the nice houses and cars that $2 million dollars they got from the university is a nice replacement for their son.

Didn't you claim that you have a six figure salary and have multiple offices around the nation? For such a big important person such as yourself, you sure do have a lot of time on your hands to peruse these message boards and obsess over this particular poster. Also by your immature name calling I really find it hard to believe you are who you claim to be.

Good day sir.

Yes, everything I stated is true about myself. And I'm directing everything towards one poster that had portrayed themself as me by using the same screen name. That's not cool...

If UCFAA wishes to receive the protections of being a state agency, it should be required to operate in the sunshine, as all state agencies do.

Agreed, but you forgot to mention the BIG differences between the Mizzou case and the UCF case. 1.) Mizzou didn't follow their own emergency medical procedures. 2.) Coaches didn't know what to look for when a player is suffering from the symptoms. 3.) The Strength and Conditioning director wasn't even qualified to hold the position. 4.) And the biggest fubar was that the sports medicine staff rejected numerous requests from fellow players and coaching staff to even look at Aaron O'Neal when he started showing symptoms.

As far as I know and have read UCF did everything they could to try to save Plancher. The Plancher family does deserve some sort of compensation in return, but what exactly that should be is up to the courts and the state legislature.

The kid gets a free education (payed for by his fellow students and taxpayers) and now the parents are suing the school because of a condition they knew about. Unreal, these kind of people are the reason why this country is going down the toilet (and trust me, I'm no O'Leary supporter- not in the least bit).

No he is not on the team and he was a UCF football player for one year. Before that he was played for West Virginia and before that, he played for Kansas State.
