Basically CT has ~10 starters on most other clubs. Someone needs to be selfish and man up to be the man. Where are you Ricky Moore? Where are you Talik Brown? Talk about a player who had an up and down relationship w/ coach! Losing his starting job as a senior only regaining it because of Williams' grades. Talik Brown manned up. Everyone remembers Hamilton, Gordon, Oakafor, and Allen etc. Give me Brown or Moore right now on this talented team and we are talking FINAL FOUR! And coach does not bring a team to the final four with out winning it. Now we have at least 5 of them. Get it together MEN! DISCLAIMER: Moore and Brown were NOT STAT men!

"But the Huskies continue to be plagued by inconsistencies that are masking their growth. Calhoun said it shouldn't be such a surprise that he goes "berserk""

The only thing masking the Huskies growth is Coach Berserk. Did he go to Bobby Knight U. this past summer??? The guy is becoming a whack job. That's what happens when you've lost control of your team. He's not motivating them or improving them. He's expecting them to just "get it"!!! And the "putting people in lockers" nad "grabbing throats" is just more evidence that the team is out of control. But I'm sure Coach K slams people around, threatens his team and berates his team during games. I'm sure that's what all the "great" coaches do!!! Whack job!!

WTG Calhoun, teach your players that you want them to be bullies just like you were in school. I guess you were a perfect player in college

Looks like the team needs a psychologist and a baby sitter.

And replace him with who?
Calhoun and the team will be just fine, christ, give them time to gel. By the end of the year, this team will have been much improved to what we saw last year, and we can see flashes of it already.
We do however need to someone to step up and take control of the offense, particularly Jerome Dyson. Dyson is the best all around offensive threat we have, and he can be great as long as he doesnt try to throw down dunks on guys a foot taller than him 4 times a game.

Get real people, UConn is a pretty damn good team this year. We lost our only two games to #2 Memphis, whom we led at halftime, and #19 Gonzaga, who we should've beat. The point Calhoun is trying to make is we need someone to step up in the clutch and get motivated to win games down the stretch. I think we've found our guys in Dyson and Price, just need to work out the kinks and we'll be solid.

Uconn will be fine and they will make the NCAA tournament this year...They have a young, talented, exciting, and yes, frustrating team.

I do agree that Calhoun should change his approach a little bit though. The personalities on this team are sensative. Its not like Rashad Anderson who would laugh when Calhoun cursed him out Gordon who just didn't care at all about what came out of Calhoun's mouth during games. These kids actually are scared of Calhoun.

we still have a young team. JC is the right couch. the players need to step up and play strong for 40 minutes, and we will be in the dance in march.

Coach just needs some prozac, and the control has to be within the players, they play so out of control half the time, Price needs to use his eyes better when he drives, Thebeat needs to be the man not the boy in that big body,Dyson needs to square up on his shots and stop falling away because he's not even drawing iron on half his shots, Wiggins and Robinson need to slow it down ever so slightly and stop crashing around the court, other than that they have athleticism they just need to control it better

HOFer JC is becoming an embarrassment to the school[at least to this alumnus] and a cruel coach to his players on TV. He'd better change or his recruiting will be zero talent.

He's right. No heart, no guts, no fight. No floor general to get in people's faces when they aren't performing. All these 'kids' think they're too special to work or break out a sweat. It's too cool to be cool. If I were JC, I'd be p*****d too.

If no one steps forward and emerges as the floor general they need, it's gonna' be a looooong and disappointing season.
