Typical UTEP "Game Plan," according to head coach Mike Price on the post game show with UTEP cheerleader John Teicher, "we knew we could run the ball on them. We practiced it all week and that was our game plan." Well then if that was really how and what you practiced all week, why would you turn to throwing the ball like you did at the end of the game with so much time left? And of course we all know what the outcome was. Vittatoe has been good for UTEP but when the game is on the line like to day, can you say choke artist!!! Price should have kept Thomas in there he had an incredible game and let him win the game for the UTEP Nation. Oh well as Teicher said "we're still bowl eligible." Ha-ha-ha-ha .......... man what a JOKE!

in reality, they are 1-11 because the only average team they beat was SMU, all the other teams don't count. as far as a bowl game, it's like saying UNM has a slight chance of making it to a bowl. what a joke!

Good luck, Miners, in whichever bowl you play. Today was a tough loss, but the final score--a three-point differential--was so much better than the Vegas oddsmakers predicted.
The Miners showed heart and determination throughout today's game, and for that, they should be congratulated. They are a decent team with a shot of going to a bowl game--a very good shot, in fact.
Regarding Jon Teicher and his "cheerleading", he's an employee of UTEP. You don't diss the boss--that's Business 101.
No one on this board knows anything about running a D-I football program, so there is quite a bit of ignorance that is rampantly manifesting itself with the ridiculous rants of these so-called "fans." I am going to get off the computer and live my life now--and wait for the Miners to accept their bowl bid sometime this week or next. For the rest of you naysayers, I have one thing to say:
GO MINERS!!!

Yeah -Stupid people should punish the team for not doing better. Keep them from a bowl game as one punishment.

All the stupid people that never support the team can meet at the Sun Bowl and rip the uniforms off the players as another punishment.

Boy howdy - that will show them that stupid people mean business. Tell the team that stupid people don't support you and know more than you.

Then all the stupid people can march the team over to the administration building and demand they are removed from the school. After all - the stupid people that don't support UTEP are much better and smarter. Yeah - stupid people know best.

Stupid people will really punish these players and do everything to berate UTEP. Yeah man - no bowl game for you guys. Stupid people don't think you deserve to go to a bowl game.

Miner's, I loved the effort today, way to play hard. Though the outcome wasn't favorable, you played hard and gave it your best. I look forward to supporting you (hopefully live) at the bowl game.

I hope the football Gods send us to a bowl close to ELP; I bet we can get 20,000+ fans to a game in Dallas or New Mexico.

Also wish to congratulate Mr. Price and Mr. Stull on a successful season. We're blessed to have you guys in our corner - your sacrifices are appreciated, and while success hasn't been instant, I'm sure we'll be mentioned with the likes of Boise State and TCU in the not too distant future.

Go Miners!

The Miners hung in there all day. No disgrace to lose to Tulsa. Am still hoping for a bowl bid.
As far as Jon Teicher goes, he is employed by UTEP. What more can you say? He does what he has to do to keep his job.

You are just plain nuts. The team is 6-6 on the year...not great but decent. Look at the other conferences. How many teams would love to have that record? They aren't--can't--go to a bowl game. UTEP can--and will.

Mike Price has taken the Miners to two bowl games, and this year will be the third. No, he won't lose his job; the Miners are performing rather well. Will you lose yours? Or have you already? Maybe you should. Be careful about throwing stones.

That's right, Lynn, and in all probability, bowl-bound as well. I am keeping my eye on the standings tonight in all the major conferences to see the possibilities. It looks like the Big Ten won't have enough bowl-eligible teams to fill its responsibility, so C-USA will have an extra bid.

Go Miners!!!
