I enjoyed the heck out of whipping Tulsa (there). I truly believe they are the best in C-USA, but I still worry about @ Marshall. Congratulations on a strong win, Top 25 or not, winning gets noticed. GO MINERS!!!

Nice win once again! Great first half and second half was good enough to hold on to the win. Two top 25 teams I saw lost today so Utep should be ranked at least 25 or 24 this week. Things are still looking good but they are not even close to being in the clear yet. This week they should win both but that last week will be tough against marshall and uab. Utep is only one game ahead of memphis still and just two ahead of uab. The last week memphis plays uab so that will be very interesting to see what happens in that game. May be best memphis beats uab since Utep has the tie breaker over memphis just in case Utep loses one game. It's going to be exciting to see what happens the next two weeks because it's still close right now.

Great start Miners!!! Sloppy 2nd half. I blame it all on George Bush and Dick Chenney.

One thing I noticed there was a little over 5,000 in attendance at today's game. The Tulsa Center can accommodate over 20,000.

Goes to prove Miner Fans care more about the success of their team and is proud to share those winning moments and support their team to victory.

I'm not saying the crowd was a factor today, geez the way the Miners are playing, they would probably feed of the opposing teams's energy and surge to victory anyhow. I am trying to point out a difference.

Great game Miners....Hope to see a repeat of your 1st half of today's game for both halves of each game from here on out.

Go Miners!!!!

That is EXACTLY why we should host the tourney and not Tulsa. UTEP played solid today -- a bit sloppy in the 2nd half, without the "killer instinct", but well enough to keep the Purricanes from catching up... That's the type of effort we need the rest of the season -- out of the chute like gangbusters, then hold the lead.

So you still believe Tulsa is better than Memphis, or UAB, or even UTEP - very interesting.

They did a great job. UTEP is the team to beat in C-USA!

I cannot wait to see them play next season.. They are going to be even more unstoppable than this year!

Great job Miners!!! I liked the zone defense, simply to show that we can still play it--effectively--when we need to. However, 1-on-1, we are a much stronger team than all of the Conf-USA Teams. I hope the Miner Players embrace that knowledge and use it to ratchet-up their level of play. There were definitely moments during play that would worthy of clipping on ESPN Sportscenter and repeat it-ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! CONGRATULATIONS to the Miners, Coach Barbee and the 6th Man Fans--WE HAVE THE REAL THING BABY!!! Let's win out with a blowout of UAB--at THE DON!!! Remember whistle your heads off!!

One of the best thing that could happen for the Miners and C-USA now, is for Tulsa to go to Durham, N.C. and beat Duke Thursday night.

Kyle,
Tusla beating Duke in Durham is such a long shot, but I'll be rooting for Tulsa in this case. Boy, that sure would get cusa recognition.

Tulsa lost to UTEP in EP because of Caracter in the post. They thought they had that figured out in Tulsa, but didn't count on hot chili-culpepper!

The Miners will see NCAA action. How far they go will depend on how the rest of the team can pick up the level of play. Teams the Miners will face are going to be very tough.

Great job Miners. The Miners will need to stop making silly mistakes in the post season or their run will end sooner then we would like. This is the first "Team" we have had in a while. I love Stone as our PG but he needs to take the ball to the hole more often. At 6'6" he is tought to handle as he showed with the drive and slam in the 1st half yesterday. Oh and guess what people NMSU is not hurting us right now. They go on the road an beat a very good Pacific team last night.

This is true, but so many people around here complain about the top 25 stacked with East coast teams, including the majority of the current bracket teams.

The Tulsa game against Duke, even if close, will go a long way in making a statement.

If Tulsa gets blown out - it makes C-USA look like one of the weaker conferences and possibly only getting the one bid.
