Knight is back to hyping up lousy opponents. After reading this garbage can you guess what the actual CBS Sportline Ranking is of TULANE?
#198 WHY because their strength of schedule is ranked LAST in the nation #346 out of 346 Schools. They have not won ONE game against schools ranked in the top 100 (0-3)

The AP and Coaches poll doesn't go that far down butin each they have ZERO votes.

In Sagarin Tulane is ranked at 129 and with a strength of schedule of 344.

At some point readers have to wonder about Knight's integrity or if he is just assuming none of us know anything about basketball.

To be fair to Knight I did see one line where UTEP was favored but by only 3 points

I predicted we would beat Tulsa by 10 and got lucky. I will predict the following

1. UTEP will beat Tulane by more than 3
2 Tulane will not finish in the top 4 of Conf USA nor will they go to postseason
3. If UTEP loses only a miracle will get us to the NCAAS.

Go Miners, continue to play hard. I plan to be at the Don on Saturday! Come on El Paso, sell out the Don. People complain that we don't have winners, then we have winners, and still there are complaints. I already got my CUSA tickets as well!!!!!!

The only one hyping Knight's article is you. All Knight did was state facts, comparing Tulane's record from last year to where they are so far this year. Unbeaten at home, and on a nice streak as of late and where they rank as a team on some catagories. So where's the hype? He didn't call them Duke or U-Conn. Oh, and don't hold CBS Sportline as the bible, last Saturday, 17th ranked UCF played 193rd ranked Houston...and who won? As far as only a miracle will get the Miners into the tournament if they lose to Tulane...are you kidding me? Write off the season 3 games into conferance play? I'm glad Coach Floyd leads this team and not you.
Truth is, C-USA will be hard pressed to get 2 teams into the tournament this year again.
It's really going to come down to how things play out in the Conferance tournament. Just about all publications have had the Miners as an NIT team this year...and I agree, but thats why they play the game, right?

Build it - an honest article would have mentioned how weak Tulane's schedule was.
In both surveys it was either the weakest or 2nd weakest in the nation. My 10 yr old daughter and I play basketball in our house. I'm probably two feet taller than her.

If I was playing the miners - knight would say Steve is undefeated and blocks 50% of his opponent's shots.

Give me a break build it- Tulane is 0-3 vs the top 100teams and yes out of 15,000 games a year you can find an upset. A balanced reporting job would not omit that the level of competition Tulane has played.

Build it -be honest - What is the first question you ask when someone tells you a college basketball team or football tells you "This team has one 12 or whatever number of games in a row?

"WHO DID THEY PLAY?"

Well UTEP will be playing against Tulane's five best players and the C-USA LOPSIDED OFFICIALS,
Rest Assure another loss for UTEP tonight courtesy of C-USA poor officiating just like at UAB last Saturday.

I guess you make some valid points, but I still didn't see where he was HYPING Tulane.
And too be honest, the only time I see anybody (not just Knight) point out teams that an opponent has beaten, is when they have beaten someone of note. The only time is see journalists gripe about a teams's weak schedule is if that team happens to be getting votes for a ranking. Again, I point to Houston beating UCF last Saturday, and Houston has lost to some lousy teams too. Yes the Miners should win this game going away, but anybody can beat anybody.

Now that a couple of you complain about no TV - try doing something by yourself. A little research and thought process just might take you to a web site that will carry it.

I plan on watching the game.

This is another game that we should win the battle of the boards. Tulane plays fairly small. They do have a 6'5" beast that grabs 8.5 to 9 boards a game along with 18 points, but my guess is that Stone will be guarding him and will shut him down for the most part. They are fairly balanced in their attack but I don't think they've faced the level of athleticism that UTEP brings to the floor. Miners by 10!

I think its a good time to start a 14 game winning streak and establish back to back 15-1 C-USA seasons. Anybody? Anybody? Anybody?

That's great, if you like watching games on your monitor and have an unreliable broadcast. UTEP/TW should be broadcasting the games on TV. The signal is 1000x more reliable.
