Paterno taken to hospital for dehydration

Penn State coach Joe Paterno is in a hospital undergoing tests and is being treated for apparent dehydration.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe in the Lehigh Valley Airport Coffee Shop a few years back. We talked for about 15 minutes like we had known each other for years. He is a real gentleman and down to earth person!

I am really sorry Joe P. wasn't feeling well although he should have retired after last season. So much stress its time to enjoy his family.

At his age, and with his record, I say Paterno should coach until he feels like retiring. He's been good to and for Penn State and certainly has earned it.

As for him being down-to-earth and an all-around decent guy, yes, that's him. A lot of folks seem to relish the idea of tearing him down, and I don't get that. The guy does his job, does it well, sticks with it thru adversity on and off the field... for god's sake, let the man work.

In my opinion (in response to your "snotty comment" comment, he should hang it up. Although I am no PSU fan so if you guys wanna keep him go ahead. Be my guest. He won't have any retirement to enjoy if he doesn't go soon.
