I think that hold program is heading down the tubes,I think the Interm head Coach didn't make the decision to fire Rob Spence, I think it was the school president making all the calls and moves and the interm head coach is just a puppet. Clemson will always be no more than an average team, they will never be a contender for the BCS CHMP. The QB made a comment about his coach being fired and I think that was gutless of him, becasue that's the same man that gave him a full ride to school and the same man that let him help lose his job!

Wow, you provide absolutely no factual information to support any of your claims. clemson's president calling all the shots? you're crazy. if anyone other than Swinney is calling any shots, it's the big donors who donate the most money to the program. The offensive coordinator had to go, if you've watched clemson games at all this season you'd know why.

PD,

Tommy Bowden lost his job in part because of his defense of Spence, of this I am certain. Who directed the firing of Spence is really not relevant. Whether Barker, Phillips or Swinney, that decision was necessary and based on what we see every weekend, should have come long ago.

By the way, you need to brush up on your English.

I hate to see anyone lose their job, but to call Harper's comments gutless? Considering that the first offer was to let Bowden finish out the season, and then he came back with if it's gonna be that way I'm going now... That's gutless on Bowden's part. If you have as powerful an offense as Clemson has, you don't have to (or shouldn't) conservative football. Bowden beat FSU and had only 2 losses to USC, but he couldn't get done what needed to be done, winning an ACC championship. Today's comments during the game by commentators saying that the players comments were wrong and should've been kept out of the media, the truth hurts. The players successes on the field make the coach. In my opinion, it's a valuable tool in making a decision to retain or fire a coach if his players have no confidence in him/her. That being said, what Harper and Spiller said have meaning in the world to be released to the media.

You got to be kidding me; Acoach doesn't quit on his players no matter what; Tommy quit on the team, but it wasn't in last game he lost; he alrady lost in terestin the first game versus Alabama. You can tell the team wasn't ready and he knew it.

What do you expect from San Fransico, fact based? Make one good point that Harper was a worm when he intially sold out Bowden and then back peddled once he figured out that Korn-nation could backlash. Shows he is a kid and spineless, say what you mean, mean what you say, stick to it. Mr. San Fran, however, needs to climb back up his tree.

Spiller is had more god-given talent than anyone on the team, but thats not what makes him the best.

If every player simply played with his effort, we'd be undefeated. That's the difference and what the rest of the players need to figure out, guess you can't teach that though.
