No. 10 Texas A&M Takes Over Big 12 Lead
#1 Feb 4, 2007
Thanks to everyone at Kansas for being great hosts and making the whole experience wonderful for everyone who saw the game - live or on TV. Though I'm excited about the win, I know it could (and probably should) have gone the other way. Best wishes until our teams likely play again in the conference tourney, and maybe even the big dance.

When KU has a lead in the second half, they start trying to manage the clock much too soon. With 6 minutes to go and a 11 point lead they quit doing what got them to that point. What got them there with A&M was a fast pace, screens and driving the lane on offense, coupled with tight marking on defense. They slowed the offense and backed off a foot on defensing the 3 pointer, Law was guarded loosely when he made the 3 pointer.
Is Self directing the team to slow down and manage the clock? Why the timid/cautious play starting with 6 minutes to go? This behavior has been displayed in multiple games.
