To a lighter degree but most of the people in my office said much of the same thing the day after the game.

The comments were more like..."Those Rutgers gals looked rough" or "They looked like men or gangsters or jailbird-thugs"...

Not quite as mean spirited as Imus words but just the same to me. I cannot defend him but it seems to me he just said what many were thinking.

"Nappy-headed Ho's" is just too harsh. That's a shame.

Either way they got beat. So it's like that, take a picture.

Really what is the difference between what Imus said and the rap music that is listened to? I, we
accept being referred to as Cracker, Whitie, or whatever but when a white person says something derogatory its racist? I say do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Those Rutger girl did look rough and so did the coach.Get on these rappers asses too!Its freedom of speech get the hell over it.

There is racism on every level. Let us not believe that one group is not any more racist than the other.

We do have freedom of speech in this country, but we All have an obligation to one another. Frankly, this sort of comment shows how ignorant Imus truly is. He has a manager and company that he has to answer to and if they are paying then they have every right to take any action that they feel necessary to protect their investment. I am sure that Imus will continue to practice his "freedom of speech" in any venue that will give him a mic and a dollar!

Thank you Lady Vols.

Why are you even bitching? You try to cover an insult with another? Either learn to get along with all people on this tiny world or YOU jump off! We don't need people like you! You are a waste IMO !

I had no Idea this had happened and I agree with Pat Summit!! I feel that sometimes people get sooo caught up with games or whatever competative sport it might be that they loose it. I know I certainly have, maybe not in the same way. I can see how it could happen, although it is shameful, very much so!!!!!!!!!

You know I posted my comment b4 reading the rest of em, and it sounds like a whole lot of people need to grow up!! It makes me wonder who's raising these children?? How can you say some of the things? The role(s) could sooo easily be reversed. I totally enjoy Peyton Manning, he is the Best quarterback, when he played college and pro! Your all sooo angry of how people are treated then turn around and do worse. Grow up! Parents rethink how ur raising these kids!!!
Go Vols!
Go Peyton!
