Another rascist reply. Be proud of your rap "artist" buddies who use derogatory terms against their own kind to make a buck. and you all buy into it.
First of all I don't listen to rap, and how are my comments racist when I was replying to someone calling my people Blackies and these people? I guess your views are that all blacks are "buddies" with rappers? Another racist comment? No another bigot making an assumption that all blacks listen to rap!

Wow I never thought he would actually lose his job. If I said that on my job, though, I would expect to lose it.

And I do believe that the sponsors pulled out of the show because of the economic impact of the protesters. They're in business to make money, for heaven's sake.

I say take a stand and see what you can do when you are teamed with a bunch of people who feel the way you do. GRRRRRR!!!

Dropping his show is ALL PC. The "poor little blackies" don't like what he said, yet THEY say racist anti-whitey remarks ALL THE TIME & never call for anyone to be fired to lose their show! Example, how many rap songs are FAMOUS yet make anti-white remarks?!--no one calls for them to be kicked out of the music business!!!!! HA!!
What a bunch of hypocrties!
I get so sick of seeing this "politcal correctness" garbage that says "don't offend people of color, but it's OK to offend the whites."
PC needs to be flushed down a toilet..FAST.
After all isn't white a color? Also, maybe I haven't seen the entire transcript but nowhere in his comments did I hear Imus state the race of anyone or use any type of derogatory name for a specific race. Quote "Nappy Headed Ho's"... to me this translates loosely to dirty sluts. Any woman/man of any color, religion, whatevah can be classified as a nappy headed ho.

I'm not surprised at Revs. Jackson and Sharpton making a big fuss. They like to hear themselves talk about anything. I am surprised and disappointed that more prominent African-Americans don't speak out about the derogatory, demeaning language used constantly in rap lyrics. This "we can say it about ourselves but you can't" is absurd. African-Americans don't want to admit or face up to the fact that they are far more demeaning to themselves and help propogate the problems they so often like to complain about. I've seen Spike Lee, Oprah, Whoopi Goldberg, etc. all on TV deriding Imus without a mention of the hate filled rap that perpetuates much of black culture. Hypocrites! I don't think Imus' three word name calling is going to damage black youth and their self esteem in any way compared to the destructive nature of the rap music culture.

It is good to see that someone in Corporae America considers VALUES more important than DOLLARS.
MSNBC is to be congratulated for taking this very apppropriate action in support of the Rutgers Women's Basketball team.
I think you got that backwards... MSNBC and CBS caved because advertisers started pulling out, that costs them big so they went along with Al 'I'm not really helping African Americans' Sharpton.
