Well been known for quite while. Since King got his ceremony last year this was a given. Think Mike Hamilton ecer has a cocktail up in those lux-boxes during a game ?

I think this is a great honor for Ernie, but two things I do not understand. First, why has it taken so long to extend the recognition. Second, since history has recorded the "Ernie & Bernie" as a tandem performance, why were their numbers not retired together. I certainly do not intend any disrespect to Bernie in this statement, but their outstanding records will be remembered forever as a tandem team, especially by those of us who had the opportunity to see them play, and to witness history in the making. Congratulations to both Ernie and Bernie for this honor, and thank you for all you have contributed to the VOLS for so many years.

I think it is great that his jersey is being retired. I grew up with the "Ernie and Bernie show'. That was when UT basketball was exciting. That same spark is there today...Finally.
