Evan is not a team player, as evidenced by his arrogance when his own "Team Member" offered his hand to assist ET from the floor and then was waved off by the offering. Sorry, but that linked with not shaking hands with the winners indicates a non team player, no matter how many points he can score in one game. To him it's all about Me, Me, Me. Just read his comments about wanting to be remembered. There is no mention of the team he plays for in his self centered comments. Sorry, but I can't buy his attitude and egotism.
From the article..."I wanted to be recognized as one of the great players to play here," Turner said, "but I wasn't really thinking too much about awards. I was just trying to do enough to make sure my team won, and to earn respect, and pretty much be comfortable with how I left school." I think his actions reflect that of a competitive athlete who leaves it all on the floor, every single game. Can you explain how YOU felt when you were in this same situation, playing for a national championship and not reaching your goal?? And the numbers don't lie...if he was that "self centered" and all about "me, me, me" he wouldn't have all those assists, now would he??? And in the few games when he was "off his game" did he force shots and take risks and pout? No, he kept his cool and did what he could to help his TEAM win. As for him not accepting a hand up from his teammate...perhaps he felt he didn't deserve it, because HE LET DOWN HIS TEAM.

Listen to your mom and get your degree! One more year of physical development and basketball skills will do you good ET. Plus, a legacy of commitment to your school will go a long way.

Just look where the ones who left early are at in the NBA. Everyone of them would have done better if they had spent some more time growing and developing.

Congrats to all the basketball Buckeyes and good luck next year!

GO BUCKS!!!!!!!

Take the money and run.Always the chance you could come back and risk a serious injury then no more money. You are a great player but do let it go to your head at times but will eventually grow out of that with maturity hopefully.

Yes, I understand sweetness, like Prince missing his free throws, committing the foul leading to MSU"s win, and putting up a pitiful, pitiful last second shot. All I can say baby, is "what goes around comes around". Just remember that when you jump on someone's blog just to agitate the home fans.

I'm glad to see ET nominated for so many rewards he deserves to be recognized. ET was the most valuable player in college basketball, Ohio State would not have made the tournament without him.
Whatever ET decides for himself is fine with me. Sure I would love to see him on the hardwood one more year especially with the recruiting class OSU has coming in next year. However, when he broke his back I figured his most likely choice after this season would be to declare for the draft. I still believe he will go in the draft (hard to pass up most likely being in the top three taken).

Mr. Turner...I know how you can still reach your goal...but you have to be in Columbus, Ohio next season to do it. In spite of the whining and moaning fans do...most Buckeye fans like me would love to have you back next season and are thankful for the job you, your teammates, and your coaches did this season. Sure would like to watch you chase that goal one more time...and cheer for you and the rest of the Bucks while you try to achieve it!

Yep we lost this year. Your boys lost to us in 2007. That year we made the final 2. This year you guys lost in the elite 8. No biggie. We will have a pretty good team next year. Will tn?

The buckeyes beat tn in 2007 and advanced to the final 4 and the title game. Tn beat osu this year only to lose the very next game. No final 4. You don't get a trophy for winning regional semis and losing in the regional final.

Actually his mom isnt in favor of him staying. She was very concerned when he came back last year, and even more concerned when he had the back injury.

But she also learned that Evan is a strong-willed young man, and when he made his mind up to come back this year, she went along with it.

Sounds like she is still worried, but knows its Evan's call.

Who was the moron who did not vote Turner to the All-American first team? The guy should be banned from all sports groups.
