Take a look at their schedule this year. Are this serious? With that schedule they will probably go undefeated. The only tough team they play is Michigan.

"Are this serious?"

Are YOU serious?

Making a spelling error is one thing. But to make a error like that - while calling another person/thing/group a joke - shows who the joke really is.

We also play Ohio State which will be a challenge in itself. It would be fantastic to have another season like we did last year but we'll settle for playing a fantastic ball game.

You do realize that in the likely event that Butler beats Michigan the next two likely opponents are Va Tech and Gonzaga? Then comes ISU, who for some odd reason has been problematic in the recent past. Add in Ohio State, Bradley, Southern Illinois, and Florida State, the pre-conference schedule is actually pretty daunting.

I don't think they will lose more than 3 or 4, but undefeated is a little crazy.

Another thing, lets stop this "maybe Matt Howard won't start his freshman year" talk. He will start and automatically become one of the best 4 to 5 post players in the conference, the kid is a beast around the basket.

DAng, I wish they would of scheduled IUPUI...I would of loved to see George Hill in the Fieldhouse. It's a shame they are right around the corner from each other but won't play. They rather play Ball St. Graves vs. Hill anyday...good for the city...good for the kids.

Butler isn't in the top 25 poll? Do the people who vote in these things even watch basketball?

You're an idiot..you haven't seen them because they haven't started playing yet. They were ranked 13th at the end of the year and return 6 out of 8 top scorers. Thats enough to get a ranking in my book.

I have Butler ranked #9 in my pre-season poll. They should beat Michigan by 20 or more points. Gonzaga will be the real test.

and you re from indiana? you clearly dont know what the F you are talking about. butler is the only damn team in indiana worth discussing. they have been an extremely worthy team and have caused alot of noise the past few years and clearly deserve respect and regconition. shut your "boiler up" attitude and prepare yourself like ya do every year for disappoint. the purdue chokeamakers. enough said.

thanks because iupui cant hang w/ anyone in the state. they only beat ball state a few years back and thats not saying much. bulter would blow them out w/ iupui's run and gun and lets press all day until we are exhausted style. i agree it would be good to see them but it would be hardly worth it.

william,

I like your enthusiasm, but you go a bit too far with your ranking. I think if you split the difference from the Fox rating of 16 and the CHN rating of 22, you are just about right.

However on the Michigan game, I do think they could potentially win in blow out fashion, it is up to Coach S to have them ready to go.

Butler has a built in advantage over the other bracket, getting their three games over 4 vs 3 on the other side.

Preseason is nice to talk about for ALL of the teams...let's get the 2 pre-season games going and see what happens in the REAL games--for ALL of the IN teams. GO BULLDOGS!

Using his Butler edu-mah-cation to the fullest. Hmm.. maybe it's because they only rank good teams in the top 25? yeah, that must be it.

You must be some douche bag IU fan. Funny, its all about rankings and cheatings at all cost with you folks, right? Or is it about be a sore loser? Still haven't got over losing the Indiana and Hoosier Classics to Indiana State and Butler, right? Forget the rankings, IU is a has been basketball school and can only get back to the top with the Duke's and N.C.'s of the world by cheating.

Geez Mr. Obvious. Since you're from W. Lafayette.....let's hope the Boilermakers don't get whacked by that push over Indiana State team again, like they did last year by 19 points. And didn't the Boilers LOSE to Butler last year also. Talk about pud schedules, Purdue supposedly had one last year with Butler and ISU on the schedule and they lost both games...you blow.

Matt, have you ever mispoke? Tough to be a person in the public eye nowadays. It's usually those with the most flaws that like to point out other's flaws. Butler grads are used to the jealousy so pick away. We're also used the state schools making excuses for why they fail on the court and in the classroom. Enjoy the season.

Funny, troll. I'd love to see Butler wipe the floor with IU, too bad you don't have the kahonas to schedule the Dogs anymore. Real smart to rip on the kid's grammar, too. Need we remind you we had the highest graduation rate in the tourney last year? Mike Green will be barking orders to you in the future, serf.
