The Newsday article will hopefuly enlighten the so called fans who constantly rip the SJU Program/Coach's effort on the Internet every time there's a hiccup (transfer/injury) for the team and teach them that building a T E A M of quality players is a marathon & not a sprint. All these so called fans do is reinforce the league wide reputation of SJU fans as "front runners".(They'll cheer loudly for obvious winning efforts & sit on their hands at all other times)
Coach Roberts & his staff have rebuilt the bridges to the NY PSAL, CHSAA, and other areas that the previous staff had buried and they deserve the consistent LOUD support of real fans & not the nit picking comments of desk jockies who THINK they know as much as coaches who have earned the right to be there. If you're not for the team on the floor go sit in the UCONN section!

This is all a smoke-screen. The fact is that the program is falltering considerably. There are constant defections each year and the total number of wins increase due to the more cupcake teams brought in to play.

The majority of JU fans and season ticket holders are quite unhappy as season ticket sales will once again drop this year!!

Hopefully you don't feel too used, Torch alumnus. Thanks for trying to cover for all of Coach Roberts' failings. Convenient that they got you to write the leak. Enjoy the upcoming seasons of battling Providence and South Florida for a Big East Tournament appearance.

Things may never be as good as it was when we were at SJU again (and not STJ, no matter what the marketing department rams down your throat!!)

Q leaving makes it five transfers in two years. I think there's been eight total since Norm Roberts took over. That's just atrocious. Yes, there's been improvements during the Roberts regime, but I fear this is about as good as it ever gets for the Redmen, as long as the current operators are in position.

It kills me to say it, but St. John's is basically a mid-major now, thanks to a president that doesn't care about basketball and a short-sighted administration that mismanages every aspect of the program. The stories I could tell you, my friend...

Daily Horoscope for June 17

Gemini

Should you follow the tried and tested route, or should you branch out on your own in some way? That's the question you're facing, Gem, and it looks as though you're going to have to bow to convention on this occasion. Even so, you'll have the chance to introduce a few of your own ideas, and also to consider your strategy for the future.
