Solid article Steve. You hit the nail on the head. This team needs a fire in the belly which they dont have. The BIG men are passive. They are not Adrian Uter and Kieza. They are not Greg Springfield and Roberto Gittens. Those players played with a chip on their shoulders.

Thank you for not gloating.

The jr class's lack of development is hurting the team. Also, I think there are problems including lack of intensity and concntrations, and also an inadequate game plan on offense. We need to develop a post game. Greg Washington has the skill; I don't understand why they don't run plays for him.

Maybe if Pecora didn't have such a quick hook after a player makes one bad pass or takes one bad shot, Hofstra's offense would find some rhythm. Young kids aren't going to build confidence if they get yanked every time they make one mistake.
Johnson started at forward and made one bad pass in the first minute. Out he went and we didn't see him again until the end of the half. Any time that happens, a player is going to tight and nervous when he gets back in.
Pecora's right. This is on him. I don't think it's a lack of effort. It's a lack of patience by a coach with a quick hook.

Wait a minute... aren't you the guy that wrote Pecora should be in line for the St. John's job? St. John's may have sunk to new lows but they haven't lost to Stony Brook yet. Hofstra can keep Pecora. I am glad that you have come to your senses about Hofstra.

HU is in a boring conference no legitamate rivals, with all those southern schools fans really can't go to away games, which is just as well as who wants to spend the night in a days inn licking your wounds over losing so often. Pecora was not a blue chip choice and HU should go down to division 2.

the guy starts out having a bad season and now he can't coach. All of you naysayers are pathetic. As for going to games, you've (bemused)probably never even been to a home game. Pecora will be fine and so will Hofstra, they just need to find their groove. It's a huge adjustment without stokes and everyone is still looking for their identity. Just growing pains, that's all.
