Hey Eagle3- Can you explain the "War Eagle" thing to a volunteer? Why the tiger and the "war eagle?" Just curious.
Short version. War Eagle Legend.

An AU alum was the sole survivor of a civil war battle. We he became conscious he found a baby eagle on the battle field. He nursed it back to health and brought it to AU's first football game. At halftime the eagle took off from the stands, circled the field, and crashed to it's death on the 50 yd line.(I said it was a legend) The AU team came back to win the game and the spirit of the eagle is said to live on in Auburn. So "War Eagle" is the battle cry. Nuttshell version.

Thanks! What a tale. You guys sure have a nice place to watch a game. Your hospitality is some of the best in the SEC. Although I'm glad the battle cry doesn't always work against the Vols just the Tide! LOL

I would have to argue that getting killed by a drunk driver is dying by second hand drinking. Just a thought...

Your on a Neyland Stadium smoke-free forum talking trash. Why am I not suprised? Bama gets a new coach, wins two easy games, and CERTAIN fans think that that they are NC bound. Jumping Jesus, Mary, and Joseph; Are you kidding me!? You are the apothesis of Bama fans, no doubt.

I am a non-smoker but cannot understand why smoking is banned outdoors. Poor law.
You've either never been to a game or you're a complete idiot. It's not very fun when all you are trying to do is get out of the stadium and all these stupid people are smoking but you can't get away from it because everybody is going the same direction stupid!

Yeah - you're a real Christian aren't you? As far as I'm concerned you can burn in Hell, and enjoy the smoke while you're there. Ridiculing and placing undue restrictions on a whole sector of society for practicing their freedom to smoke (in a reasonable manner, such as only in designated areas) is not the answer. I smoke, and I do so respectfully - as far away from non-smokers as possible. However, after reading the posts here I can't figure out why I even bother. Why should I show you any respect if this is the respect we can expect to receive in return? They call it a public place because you are surrounded by the genral public - if you have a problem with society, STAY HOME. You show me one person who died because people were smoking on an open-air ramp, and I'll agree that it must stop. But, being exposed to small amounts breifely, perhaps 1-2 minutes per game as you walk by, 8 games a year, over 20 years is NOT going to kill you, you hypochondriacs. I can't believe any INTELLIGENT individual can justify stripping Americans of their freedom because they don't like it, or it's stinky. If this is the case, why don't we ban these whiners from the stadium (even though I would support YOUR right to voice YOUR opinion - no matter how annoying or asinine I THINK it might be).
I bet not a single smoker can answer this question. Step back think hard. Why do you smoke?

Perhaps no one has died from being exposed to second hand cigarette smoke at a sporting event, but even if smoking were good for you, it STINKS. You admitted you are a smoker, now go smell your breath -then smell the bottom of an ashtray. There is NO difference. Now smell your hair, your clothes, your fingers, your car, the list goes on. You can never get that stinch out. You stink.
I guess according to your philosophy, smokers have a God given right to smell bad. Far be it from me to take that away from you.
Cigarette smoke can cause allergic reactions and allergic reactions can trigger an anafalatic shock which can cause your death. Take That Beeotch!

Why are you calling me names? I would outlaw all smoking on the planet if it were up to me. Take that young man.
