Is this a surprise? He had size but just not the work ethic. In watching him play in high school and college he never was more than adaquate. He had a golden opportunity but just not the fire in his belly.

Was SIU aware that Nick Evans had stopped attending classes while attending Red Hills High School during his junior year? He had become a cancer for this team after only one season. It is very difficult to revive a rotten apple.

"O'Doyle Rules" doesn't work on the basketball court. Any kid who dropped 40 in high school would give his right arm to play for SIU. This kid grew up in the college town - although homeschooled (maybe he couldn't play well with others?)- and threw it all away.

He got bullied on national TV and gave a forearm shiver to the guy dropping shots on his ogre ass. Then he missed practice. A disgrace to SIU and Carbondale.
