These kids should be tried as adults all together... Kids these days need to understand the consequences of doing such a thing are as vital as the damage they caused this poor kid. Without serious consequences, kids these days will continue to act out in new, outrageously, evil ways just because they see no serious punishments for their crimes... These are the people of our future; is this what we want...? This did not happen when I was a teenager, and I'm only in my 30's... What has our society become, and who the heck taught these kids about vengeance being a worthy thing in such a circumstance as a video game dispute..?
I will pray for this boy, and his family. I do hope things can someday be hopeful for this young boy.

the reason I mention money/borrowing under these sad circumstance, is because money seams to be the tricker point of escalation

I hope the others will get help and also face the consequenses to their action

Hold the kids accountable for sure--but their parents should stand trial alongside them. It is, after all, the parents who raised these hoodlums to have a complete lack of caring or feeling. The lack of empathy, they may have been born with.

Agreed--and as they are all tried as adults, assure that the parent(s) are at the docket standing trial with them. It is the parents, or lack of same, which lead to the thought processes these juveniles possess. Society should not take on the job of parenting these louts--make their parents accountable, too.

I want to know how the parents of the children who committed this horrific crime will be held accountable. Why, if the children had this sort of thinking were they left unattended to roam the streets? When will parents of CHILDREN be responsible for ensuring that their children not only know right from wrong but are good morale citizens who can contribute to our society and not evil, demented children who are headed for a lifetime of trouble? THis is the result of parents who have not dedicated their lives and time to caring for the children entirely. Yes, parents work and yes everyone is responsible for their own actions. You mean to tell me that these parents had no idea that their children were curious about fire, were capable of hurting another child, or worse yet, had demented thinking. this is not a racial issue..you need to focus on the horrific crime these boys committed and on the recovery of the boy that was burnt. the parenting of the boys that commited the crime also was a contributing factor.

This is customary behavior in Third World Countries. Like, Hit and Run accidents, torching kids is a logical result of electing pols in our State who are anti citizen, anti assimilation, and anti American.
