Siena was impressive

Full story: WNYT Albany

I guess Seth Davis from CBS knew exactly what he was talking about. I was with Siena in 1989, when they shocked everybody with an upset win over Stanford.

Thank you for acknowleging Siena's outstanding blowout victory over a national power, although I did detect a litle lack of enthusism. Hasbrouck got 30 points, not 26. I can only hope that Fran Mc Caffrey is compensated at a considerably higher rate than Will Brown because he is coniderably better. Yes, Roger, Siena continues to be the major basketball power in the capital region and it does not look like that will be changing any time soon.

Congratulations Siena, but you won't be advancing to the Sweet 16. Vandy was ripe for the picking. They were inconsistent all year and were terrible on the road and never had the type of guard play that will advance you in the tourney. Nova's defense is much better than Vanderbilt's and Scottie Reynolds is someone Siena won't be able to defend. But good luck tomorrow.

Siena played a great game. It was good to see them lead from the beginning and never look back. I never went to Siena but I do follow them. They are playing like a family and are making the area proud.

No matter how good a defense you have, you can't stop what you can't catch. If Siena comes out running and gunning like they did lastnight the sweet 16 is certainly a possibility. Vandy beat some of the best in the country this year and that was no fluke. Vandy made some strong runs and Siena withstood them all. This will help against Villanova. Hopefully Villanova used up some of their reserved tanks in their fortunate comeback against Clemson. Siena looked like they had lots of extra left in the tank at the end of their game. Siena also made Vandys' height advantage ineffective. A great game in which Siena certainly looked like they belonged even more so then Vandy. I am a believer. can't wait for 12 noon on Sunday.

We'll continue to roll on Sunday right into the Sweet 16. We've got the Cinderalla pixy dust this year. No doubt about it.

OPEN THE MONEY BANK, SIT DOWN NOW, NOT LATTER, AND GIVE THE COACH WHAT HE DESERVES OR HE WILL LEAVE ALSO. IT TOOK HIM THREE YEARS. CLASY MAN AS WELL AS UNDER CONTROL AT THE HELM.
