What's going on with Sticks? He's played in enough games now to have gotten it going. We really need him.

Where are all the thabeet haters? I remember earlier this season you losers were bashing him. You're quiet these days. ABSOLUTE DOMINATION!

I love the front court, solid. The back court needs to get a little more consistent. I still think they have a great shot to play through March! Go Huskies

1 Calhoun said after the game that after losing Dyson, there was a need for someone to take over and Thabeet decided it would be him. |

Great win for the Huskies today. I'm waiting to hear from the moron who I argued with this week about Hasheem Thabeet. This person,(who will not be mentioned by name) insisted that UConn would be doomed the rest of this season because Jerome D. got hurt. More specifically this clueless person insisted that Hasheem was "soft" as a player, therefore UConn had no inside presence as a team. Well nitwit, how does Hasheem contributing 25 pts., 20 boards, and 9 blocked shots work for you? Do you think that a game like today's against Seton Hall is further proof that Thabeet is "soft" in your knuckle-headed opinion? Your rants against UConn indicate that you're either a Husky "hater", or utterly clueless in your knowledge of basketball. Upon further thought, probably both parts of the previous sentence would be accurate in describing this person.
Big game Monday against Pitt. Let's see how the team continues to adjust without Jerome. And, hopefully the surgery has gone well - fingers crossed that Dyson will be able to play again this year! |

good games for the boys but that team was way
under sized and thabeets numbers really showed it. a game like this helps his stats but thats about all can he do it against the big boys is the real question ? |

Yeah, but... Yeah, but... Yeah, but... hahaha The "big boys?" Exactly what do you think the tandem of Adrien and Thabeet are? Obviously, you haven't noticed but they've been doing it against all comers in all sizes all season long. By the way, this game wasn't the first time a team has tried, unsuccessfully, to pound it inside and to challenge Thabeet/Adrien. That, not size, had the most to do with his big numbers. |

I ask the same question about Sticks Robinson, where is his head?? Fumbled passes, fumbled the ball, and mostly (not always) was just out of the game.
He made a spectactular dunk or two, but was a liability for most of his floor time. He is too much better than this. It isn't his talent because that is great. When Stick gets really going, UConn will not be beatable--and another NCAA title. |

I agree with Coach Gonzalez- Uconn's first NBA draft pick-HASH.

The boy has finally discovered his inner man.
Go big T. |

"tfs" that team (S.Hall) beat Georgetown and the number one freshman big man Greg Monroe...
|

And all the fat, angry middle aged guys at the XL games always complain that Thabeet is terrible.
Know-it-all know-nothings. |

1 your a complete idiot....I`m one of the posters who is a long time Uconn Fan who stated some of the things Thabeet needed to work on and some of the things he was doing well...Well Guess what Sherlock?..He is all of a sudden showing drastic improvement and that is why there aren`t as many people being as critical..It`s not called being a "hater"..It`s called being a fan |

You're probably not one of the intended posters. You may have missed (or forgotten) the crude Thabeet bashers who weren't focused on where he needed improvement. |

i guess you missed my point that team was very very small and you would expect thabeet to do that well against them |

And I guess you missed mine. Some teams try to pound the ball inside the way Seton Hall did. When that happens, Thabeet's and Adrien's numbers go up, and they "do well." |

1 i had said- i guessed you missed it AGAIN that they played a good game but you would expect high stats against a short team right ? |

And you clearly don't understand the point that when a team of ANY size pounds the ball inside, numbers (blocks and rebounds) go up if the defense is any good. Offensively, Thabeet was playing above the rim, where even 6'9" "shorty" Garcia couldn't go. Look, I'm not claiming that Thabeet has magically become James B., or that he'll score 25 every night, but he's clearly been developing a different, more confident and aggressive attitude that didn't begin with yesterday's game. In fact, Syracuse fans accused his new behavior as "thuggish." |
