Didn't this kid use to go to Davidson Day? Man I heard like 7 kids transfered from Davidson Day to Southlake. Whats going on over there I thought Davidson Day was the only school in that area that could get D1 offers. How did Davidson Day drop the ball on this kid?

I would like to say that Robert Washington Jr. is the real deal "Big Dawg" and yes Davidson Day drop the ball on this one and yes they let some great talent get away along with Robert as well and I'm from Akron, Ohio and I'm scout with JuniorRank Sports and as a scout and mentor to ths youngman, he has the quality and class on and off the football field, this kid will be the one to watch on Friday night lights, and South Lake Christian Academy has foundation to become the next national powerhouse school along with that, they have four (4) kids from Team USA, which are Robert Washington Jr., Aapri Washington Jr., Conner O'Donnell and Christian Colon, which I think all four players are DI propspects and I know talent I coached LeBron James, Johnny Adams, Jarrod Wilson, Tyrell Sutton, Chris "Bennie" Wells, Antoine Winfield just to name a few men lives whom I coached and mentor them young men that I named went on to the NBA, and NFL and Johnny Adams is a top DB with Michigan State and Jarrod is in his freshman year at Michigan, each of them player went on to the Big Ten, which I'm hoping Ohio State and Akron University give this young man a offer... Keep your eyes on this young man he is special

Yes, Coach Rob I'm hearing Southlake is on the rise not just locally but nationally. I didn't know they had 4 players on Team USA. That is huge for my area. They have a great coach in Geoff O'Donnell. He's a former player and college offensive coordinator. I'm proud that this is happening in my area. I will be attending some games this year.

Robert has always been one to push himself to be the best at whatever his goals are. He is a talented Football player and not only with his God given gift to play the game, but more so his "attitude" and "respect of the game. He knows I am not much at understanding the game itself, but I can recognize his NFL potencial, his strong dedication toward it and his team spirit. Robert once made a comment that " He could not be he best at what he doe if his team was not the best at what they do" Just like it takes a community to raise a child, it take a team to build a Legend. I believe he will reach his goal because he puts God first in everything he does, he has has a Dad, Robert Senior, who is dedicated to making his sons visions come to pass,he support of family an friends and last but not least,"he believes he can fly!!Love you Robert!!!Mama Lisa

This is a incredible story for a incredible young man. My son use to play with Robert when they were 9. He has always been respectful and hard working. He is the hardest working kid I have ever seen. I use to tell my son to watch Robert. This kid is a very special talent. Robert and Angel great job raising him.

Robert Washington is my son and first I would like to start off by saying how proud I am of him not only for this accomplishment, but also for overcoming so many obsticles. Robert has faced being told he wasn't good enough to be a running back, being placed on the sidelines for coaches son, to ultimately having open heart surgery and being told he may never play the game he loves again (Football). I am so thankful that our family knows and believes in God because he is the only one who has brought Robert this far. It is true that what God has for you no one can take. God has brought our oldest son thru some trying times yet through it all Robert has never lost faith and continues to strive for what his heart truly desires. Robert has character on and off the field and makes sure this is always demonstrated in his everyday life. I am so proud of him for all his accomplishment but even more proud to be his mom and share all of this with him. This is what life is all about and being successful is catagorized different in everyones book but I can truly leave one day knowing my husband and I were successful to have raised Robert and for him to experience so many different things some dream. Robert I am so PROUD of you. Keep God first and you will never go wrong. Angel Washington

Truely this is a GOD FEARING young man. I have seen his highlights as well as seen this youngs man in action in Phoenix AZ. He's the real deal all I can say. I have did my research and read the article that Dan of JrRank did totally amazed. Adversity is life, but to over come is perseverance. Robert, you have all the tools to become a professional in whatever career you chose. Continue to be a student athlete that keeps GOD 1st. Keep up the hard work someone is always watching.
