Red Bluff Spartans Varsity football team has a lot of talent, but is not utilized very well. We have a coach who loves wrestling and football but favors his wrestlers. Red Bluff has yet to see the Play- Offs since 04. To me I want to see these boys make it far but until things change with the program I don't see it happening. I hope this coach doesn't give an excuse, this is my rebuilding year. Every year is a rebulding year, this isn't NFL. The seniors leave and new ones come up. I have noticed too, we would be winning games if the team played as a team. He has his favorites and the other boys see it. These are a bunch of great kids who work their hearts out. We have a hard road a head but I know they can do it.
I leave you with a last concerned message, Stop blaming certain kids on the losses and just play football, until this team plays as a team I sadlly don't see us winning a game. Again that stems from the coach. Until next week when we see Lassen. GO RED BLUFF SPARTANS!!!!!!!

I thought the local experts said the old coaches were the problem. We got rid of them.

A big part of getting rid of the old coaches was the wrestler coaches and parents. They were open about not supporting the program and did stuff to backstab Hassey and Schwab. Now football is all about wrestlers with a hall of famer and a olympic wrestler on the staff and the head coach. After we run these guys out we could get the swim coach out there. They should make Mrs.Wheeler the coach. She is the best coach at the high school becasue she is tougher than anyone else but Moore and Etzler and his wife hates her because she tells it like it is even if kids and parents and the board get hurt feelings sometimes.

There hasn't been a coach in this Northern Section as talented as Coach Reid. He wasn't afraid to take risks. He didn't use his players to fit his playbook, but used his playbook around his players ability. I am not saying the new coaches are like the old ones, but he needs to make the players as 1 not individuals. The coaches are still local and work for Red Bluff High School District. That part is the same. I am not saying the coaches are 100% at fault. It is hard being a coach with a lot of critics lurking. He is in the spotlight and they expect miracles. All I say is be fair. It makes a big difference in a child's life

You know Bill, you are partly right, this school is too much about what people think and too worried about hurt feelings. Football is a tough and vocal sport. Mrs. Wheeler is good and tells it like it is. They don't like it. We need more of this back, the good old days. That is what is wrong with this world today. But the old coaches too played right in the hands of the big boys upstairs. Again it isn't about what you can do but about who you know and who you played for. Each sport is different and should be choached different. Red Bluff needs someone from out of the area. That doesn't know anyone. That won't happend it would brake up the Good Old Boy's. Thank you for your comments.

Red bluff had A lot to improve on and i do not foresee them winning any future games. They just don't have the size or strive to win any games at all. This is very upsetting to most fans i am assure of. I do know of a few red bluff high school students that should be out there but are not? Why is that? If Coach miller would reply to this comment it would be greatly appreciated?
