This is definitely the worst team since 84-85. In the last 2 years Versyp has recruited one div 1 recruit Malone. Please quit recruiting players that are questionable or can't play. Also please recruit some SHOOTERS!!!! It is painful to watch this team play. Maybe Purdue needs to hire an assistant coach that has some ties in Indiana, not 3 assistants with no ties in Indiana. Go Boilers!!!

I've been impressed with how much Sharon Versyp did with all the problems this year.

Look at the roster...most of the players on this team were recruited by Curry not Versyp. Purdue lost most of their recruits when KC left two years ago. Purdue's best shooter, Howell, is out this year with a bad shoulder. SV has Brittany Rayburn coming in next year...possibly the best shooting guard in the country.

Maybe a blessing in disguise. With Hylton and Howell this team would have been good but not an elite 8 or final 4 team. Now with the experience that the girls (Freeman, Campbell, ect) got this year and with Hylton and Howell back next year along with a good recruiting class this team should have a legit shot at another final four.

She did not recruit Malone. Malone was part of that #1 recruiting class that decommitted when Curry left, which included Amber Harris and Dee Dee Jernigan. It did not help that Ta'shai Phillips also decommitted the following year. Harris and Phillips were considered top 5 players in their classes. Recruiting is a 3-4 year process and when something like that happens it takes a few years to recover. By most accounts next years group is pretty talented and 09' could be huge if Purdue can land Diggins, Bentley, Farris, ect.

In reply to MSA. I believe Versyp did recruit last years players. The name of the game is recruiting, this is not high school ball where you have to play what you're dealt, you recruit players that should be able to play. Get real Purdue has no chance it getting Diggins!!!!

And then there are the fans who could not make the trip to cheer our Boilers on, and have no TV coverage. I'm warming up the radio.

This team has been inconsistent all year. It lacks heart and grittiness. IU with no more talent will out fight and out hustle the Boilers today.

By the way coaches get rid of the play where a player dribbles and jumps for the out of bounds while trying to deliver a pass to a team mate across the basket at the other baseline. The play has been well scouted and with only one possible positive option usually has an opponent stepping into the only passing lane for a turnover. Most of these players make enough bad decisions on there own without being taught plays like that.

Looks like you were dead wrong. Purdue won by 10 points even without "heart and grittiness". You're a tool.

Your name belies your post.

Among the 1st year players that Versyp did recruit for this season are current 1st team all big ten freshman, Lakeshia Mosley, and a seriously talented and improving 6-3 forward, Samantha Woods.

Coach Versyp had no way of knowing when she was recruiting this class that both Wisdom-Hylton and Howell would not play this season due to injuries, so she only had 2 scholarship spots available.

Next time, before you post about something you apparently no nothing about - DON'T.

Congrats to the Lady Boilers for once again sending the Loosiers home early and without an NCAA bid (again).

NICE PREDICTION THERE MICHIGAN BOILER :)

Maybe you should give this team the credit they deserve for battling through adversity all year rather than attacking their character.
