I'm ready for a good game. Providence is a tough team that has matched up well against UConn recently, and they play fearless on offense. UConn has a lot more reliable weapons this year, so I'm hopeful the Huskies will come out on top..However, part of me thinks its too early for UConn to go to number, simply because of the very tough upcoming schedule and the recent slip-ups by number 1 teams. It's a lot of pressure to be number.

What's #1 anyway? Been there, done that. This isn't Gonzaga or Xavier where the programs rejoice at seeing the polls.

I love this Providence/Louisville -Saturday/Monday set. The intensity is like the first two rounds of the Big Dance, a pre-tourney treat for fans. And a nice primer for this team when those 64/32 games arrive.

Yea I'm ready for a good game too pppp. Like T.O. said, I'm gettin my popcorn ready. I don't think it'll be too much pressure on us though cuz we're an experienced team that I think can stay level-headed. If we do beat Providence and go to number 1 I think we'll stay there for a little while because Calhoun teams traditionally do well when we're ranked atop the polls. Either way it doesn't matter-what matters is what happens in March. Whether we're number 1, 6, or 18 I think this team has a chance to at least get to the final four this year. U-C-O-N-N Uconn, Uconn, Uconn!!!

Poor Mike Anthony. Has to write this fluff. What are they supposed to say? "We're focusing on the Number 1 ranking, not the Friars"?

The article had it correct. Being ranked #1 means NOTHING right now - it only counts in early April after a victory in the National Championship game. UConn cannot look past Providence heading into their big game early next week at Louisville. The Friars have beaten UConn in their last several meetings. It's time for UConn to step up Saturday at Providence and defeat them.

Anything can happen in the Big East. UConn has played outstanding basketball this season, but I'm sure if UConn goes down to providence this saturday all the jealous insignificant low life losers will once again spew their moronic thoughts on these blogs.

Probably the one that has played amazing defense all year and has bigger balls than anyone in the big east (figuratively speaking, of course).

No... no... NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

However, I'd take jealous insignificant losers over Sally Dogs or d**chebag UConn-envious Tennessee Vols fans any day of the week.

Go Huskies, here's to hoping MASN carries this 4 p.m. tip.
